Water leaking on passenger side under dash?
i just drove back to my apartment... About a 2hr drive. For an hour of that it was raining. (My windows were rolled up)
While taking my stuff out of my car I noticed my floor mat was completely soaked... and I started looking for the source... I took the plastic part under the dash out and it had pools of water in it...
Problem is I don't know where its coming from or how it got in my car...
(I do not allow drinks in my car so its not like anything spilled.
Any suggestions for where it is coming from? Or if this has happened to you...

I have heard of a hose that is commonly loose on the compressor deal behind the glove box. But I have the same problem and its always when excessive amounts of water have been involved. If the hoses seem good I would have your windshield "leak checked" at a garage. I still need to get mine done but work is putting a bit of a draw on it. Hope this helps.

Re: Water leaking on passenger side under dash?
Since its not possible to be that Jeff (its not leaking an oily substance), I will assume that's not the cause.
Thanks.
I will have to check about the windshield and if its the A/C... Though I cant til Thursday...

Also check the firewall, look for small hole. Its possible that water from the rain could get into your engine bay and leak through a spot somewhere

Re: Water leaking on passenger side under dash?
sounds like an evaporator drain hose issue. It could be clogged.. It exits out the firewall on the passenger side.

Re: Water leaking on passenger side under dash?
Have you been using the a/c. Go to dealer and tell them it is leaking into passenger floorboard. They will clean out drain hole and it will stop leaking.
This happened to me a while back. Debris gets into the drain hole and it clogs and then a/c cannot drain condensation correctly and it backs up and then starts over flowing behind the glove box and the little plastic piece below the glove box has like foam sound deadner that just soaks up the liquid and then it drains into the floor board. I had to pull my carpet on the passenger side and make sure it was dry with a towel.Changes are coming..........
