Scion tc 06 tein htechs uneven drop in front left, HELP!!!
So here's the dilemna...
I bought tein h techs (used but pretty new, can still see the TEIN letters and rubber is pretty new) and 4 new KYB excels (gauranteed for life)
had my mechanic install em on thursday, the car dropped around
2" front right
2.5 - 3" front left
1.5" back left and right
I don't know why but the driver side in the front dropped so much... now when i take corners or a small bump the car bumps pretty loud...
A few more details: My mech forgot to put the bump stop/damper in the front driver side strut, Can be the cause? or can it be something else?Last edited by saintxero; 03-05-2012 at 08:17 AM.

First off they all need to be equal. If there r bump stop in the other from then the other should be there.
Next, they will still settle. I would get above fixed then slam left an right turns for a week so they settle some then get an all wheel alignment
I believe my eibach sportlines took 2 months to settle even

Re: Scion tc 06 tein htechs uneven drop in front left, HELP!!!
i would take the front left a part and double check everything and install the bump stop , not 100% sure on the tC but i do know on the xB's and xA's that the upper plate has 2 flat sides that must line up with the notches on the strut other wise the spring will not be fully seated and will cause the car to set lower do to weaker spring pressure .
Good Luck .

Thanx 06xb30, that actually makes alot of sense... i didn't know there were notches... OOOOOHHHHHHH haha.
muzachead, i told that to my mech. but he sad it's only necessary if i don't want the strut to bottom out when i take a ditch or a bump... Anyways i'll post tomm. whats up with this weird dilemna. I really wanna make sure people know what they get into when they get lowered suspension excluding the cost but benefits of coilovers.. Thanx again guys for the help!

Re: Scion tc 06 tein htechs uneven drop in front left, HELP!!!
turns out the was installed alittle crooked, kinda like a D... and the bump stop was needed.. they both play important parts in the suspension, to the point that my ride is now smooth and better than it ever was... now i gotta wait like 2 weeks and off to a much needed alignment! Thanx guys for your thoughts and suggestions, it helped figure things easiier with the 2 flat sides when installing the struts..
