Running TRDs 18s (the actual specs: 18X7.5 +42) mated with Toyos 225/40/18 with NF210s. Would like a wider, flush (i.e, tucked) stance without having to buy new rubber or wheels.

xD is still taking baby steps at just under 2500mi. So, I'm open to some technical recommends on how I might achieve this.

thx.

i dont think you can be tucked and flushed at the same time.

I have DF210's and my wheel offset is +35 and mine are tucked. You should check into getting some wheel spacers. You could prob do a 10mm spacer. I know a guy who had +22 offset wheels with DF210's but had to really stretch his tires to avoid cutting them up. If your worried about running 10mm you could do a 5mm. Hope this helps.

flush is having your rims in vertical alignment with your fenders while tucked depends on most, some mean the tire is going under the fender and some mean the rim is being covered by the fender. so it's either or you can't do both. like me i'm almost flush but i'm not tucked, cause if i tucked my rims into the fender i'd be rubbing my rim on the fender and well i can't damage those special order rims.

@gotDamD & Katch': thx a heap! And Katch that is one beautiful piece of art youve got there.

I'm aiming for a more tucked look then. I want the tire to be under the fender at most but not the rim.

I love the nf210s, but the overriding appeal to gain the aforementioned effect would have me ditch them for df210s.

Either one of you familiar with the hub/wheel spacing formula? I'd like to run my specs to get an idea of what components to get. Also would spacing include all four corners or simply the rears?

You could run the spacers on all fours or just the rears if you want. You said your TRD 18's are a +42 offset. If you put on a 10mm spacer it would make your offset +32 which is only +3mm more pushed towards the corners than what I'm running.

So... What spacers and sizes and offset are you running Killah?

I have Drag DR-36 in 17 x 7.5 that have a 42mm Offset. I picked up spacers, 2 sets one 20 mm the other 15 mm... Not sure if they will work, but the price was right. Just curious what your total offset is.

@gotDamD: I can use the same hub spacer shims on the front as the rear? Why do vendors refer to the xD-specific ones as REAR HUB SPACERS?

I plan to ditch the NFs for DFs and go 5mm spacers on the front and 10mm on the rear. Would this give me a tuck or flush look?

no spacers for me. fronts on 8.5 and rear is a 9, i should've went 9.5 on the rear like i was instructed to but i chickened out. then the rims arrived and i bought my xd. :hurt: oh well i guess next set can run 9.5. lol.

Awesome, but do you know your total offset, front and rear?

These guys make some really nice hub spacers http://www.penguingarage.com/HubSpacers/Spacer.html I am running them on my car and they are safer than wheel spacers (unless you get longer studs like you should)

Those look interesting.... I picked up Ichiba 20mm and 15 mm, two sets. The 15mm are used, the 20mm are brand new. I may be confused but I believe the +42mm offset that is what the wheels I am running are would then be a +22 offset if 20mm spacers are installed. So the farther to the outer edge you want your wheels the lower the offset you want to accomplish that. Now, all spacers should be run with longer studs unles they are the bolt on type. Ichiba come in either style. Here are the ones I have in 20 mm.

There are arguments all over on this. Best thing is to spend the bucks and buy the proper offset wheel. However, tons of folks use these, for cars they drag, track and daily drive. Stick with a good name company, and use quality, machined, hub centric spacers, install them correctly, follow the torque limits accurately and you should be fine.

With that said, it is clearly printed all over most of the spacer boxes, "For Off Road Use Only"! So you can have issues with it effecting warranties for wheels, suspension, wheel bearings, axles, even possibly tires. Some Tire shops, Discount is one, will not work on cars with wheel spacers installed. Not sure I'll use these, but I'll put them on to see exactly what offset I want, and possibly save for wheels that will accomplish that finished look all by themselves.

Then sell the wheel spacers I have to someone else that wants to run spacers.

I see no reason by the way, that it makes a bit of difference if they are for the front or rear on the xD. They just need to be 5 x 100 pattern to match the existing lug pattern/
