As the title implies, what is the proper method to bake the lenses and how does one reseal them to keep them from leaking?

I haven't worked up the courage to bake my headlights yet, but from what I have read, you simply put them on a baking sheet in the oven at 250 for about 10 minutes.
To reseal them, you simply put them back in the oven and squish them back together, then go around the seal with some silicone sealant to keep condensation from getting in.
There are some good write-ups on ScionLife you may want to check out before you do this. They will be able to tell you exactly how to do it step by step.

I've done it and I think 10 min @250 will be too long. I did 5 at 200 and it was pretty easy. So 3-4 at 250 I say...

remember you want the lens on the headlight facing out towards the door, otherwise your going to melt the headlight

I have done Tails and Headlights...but i have left them for 20min @ 250 degrees they don't melt they just get hotter and easier to pull apart....but always make sure all the bulbs are out lol...my buddy had a lil issue when he forgot one bulb hehe...and the lense i had mine facing down, i think where it faces doesn't matter.

A good oven should have the heat evenly distributed throughout the entire oven, so I wouldn't think that the orientation of the unit matters much. If it did, I would think that UP would be the best spot as the BAKE setting uses only the bottom element.
Now I just need to work up the courage to do it!

well the reason you don't want to put them facing into the oven is because the hit will reflect off of the reflective coatings inside of the headlights and melt the lense, you saw the si at MA show this last weekend thats what happened to the right headlight
