Alright, everyone...We have finalized the dates for Scion Invasion 2007!!!
It will be held September 21-22, 2007 in Roswell, NM.
We have big plans for this year and there are no set plans for the days as of right now, but the schedule will remain nearly the same as it was last year.
For those of you that did not attend last year:
Friday was registration in the afternoon/evening and we had wash bays open for the cars.
Saturday was the actual car show with miniature events like giveaways, raffles, meals, and a halo tournament. This year, we may have an evening event planned, but it is not finalized yet.
I am as excited as ever for this event and hope to see you all there. I will be acquiring sponsors and vendors daily. I will be updating the website for the next few weeks and will set up pre-registration online as well.
If you have any questions about anything, just ask on here, pm me, or e-mail me at sstorey@scioninvasion.com (sstorey@scioninvasion.com) and I will be sure to get back to you promptly.
See ya in September...
Steve

I plan on going for sure, I am just waiting to make reservations to see what the official plans are/when everyone is rolling out. I was thinking of driving up that Thursday and staying Thurs/Fri/Sat night, then leaving Sunday. Matt said you guys met up with the Cali/etc guys last year early Friday morning.
i know that we are planning to leave thursday, stay in Albuquerque, then arrive friday morning in roswell. we wont be caravaning out there with everyone.

Cool. I like the idea of leaving Thurs, that way I can leave around 8am or so, get there around 5-6 and grab some dinner and get a good nights rest.

It will be held September 8-9, 2007 in Roswell, NM.

Sorry about the date change. We have had some updates and Scion Corp. will be able to contribute more efficiently to the show with the new dates.
Chris Rado will now be attending as well as a very cool and brand new trailer from Scion. The Trailer will include XM Radio, Wireless Internet Access, (6) Interior 42" Plasmas, DVD or Satellite TV, (1) 42" Exterior Plasma TV, (6) Interactive Xbox 360 Stations, Foosball, Club Lighting, Sound System, and a DJ Booth. This should be an exciting addition to the show. Stay tuned for more exciting updates.

Man, I really wanted to go this year, I've heard great things about last year, but we're going to be on our honeymoon in Hawaii during this time.

I still need to book my room, but I have the time off scheduled and all that. My plan was to leave that thursday and get there thursday night, then leave sunday night and get back early monday morning, but I may just leave really early friday since the event is completely on sat and sun now.

The event is still a check in on Friday and the show is on Saturday. Sunday is
the drive home day or enjoy Roswell day and come home on Monday.

How far is Roswell from Phoenix? I know that Phoenix is about a 7 or 8 hour drive from Bakersfield, Ca. Does anyone have prices for motels/hotels? I guess that going across interstate 40 would be better then interstate 10? Just trying to get a feel for this as I am thinking about going.
Thanks,

I'm tryin' to make it out for this one.. i didnt get to go last year and really wanted to.. im in a little bit better place to be able to go this time though.. work might get in the way but we'll see..
where is everyone staying for this show?
some of us from phoenix are gonna try to stay at the fairfield. its like $100/night with the special rate.
last year we all stayed at the hampton, but we had sprinklers and a farmer kicking up dust and dirt with a combine in the field behind us the morning of the show- which made for some real good last-minute panic detailing :(
