xD /iSt/ Urban Cruiser conversion.

I was just wondering if anyone had started a JDM or EDM conversion with their D. I like the looks of the overseas models and it would be unique here stateside.

I've seen at least one with the ist badging on it at a show.... but, I'll tell you what I told him, who kept saying, it's not an xD, it's an ist.... You can pull the xD badges and put cobra badges on it, it still isn't a cobra! ;)

Yeah, I've always said the same to guys with 240SXs. It may be a S14 but that doesn't mean it's a Silvia. The bumpers and fog lights look good on the ist and it would throw people off to run the Toyota badging.

If ya get lucky you might find someone interested in doing an xD conversion and do a swap.

I don't know if it will ever happen. My sister has the RS2. Even after she got the parts shed have to get them painted.

Urban = city streets...so why couldn't a car be a urban cruiser?

The Urban Cruiser looks very similar to the xD, bit of a bolder front and rear bumper... but the meat of the matter is in the 1.3 L engine... huge difference...

Side skirts are just black ABS instead of painted.

Also Ferrari =/= Scion, but Toyota~Scion. It's not that I would actually think I have an iSt or UC, but make my car more unique by styling it like one. It's the same thing xB guys do when doing bB and Rumion conversions

it's just another way of customizing your ride. like me i'm not into doing the custom taillights (spraying or what ever way) or redo'ing the upholstery in different colors or repainting interior parts, etc.. it's just another way for folks to make their ride unique. i may spend 2x-3x more on a particular part but it's the way i like to do it. :toast:

Not really, the AWD saps more power and the diesel I believe is a NA engine.
