Hey i was thinking about making a custom 8 ball shifter for my box i have a automatic and know there will need to be a OD button but my plans are to make a 8 ball and the circle around the 8 being clear and having a LED in there so when i turn on my car lights it also turns on.

I have no idea what to use as the base i was thinking of getting a solid black ball of plastic and cutting into it.

Here are some drawing i made to help explain what i'm trying to do:

Maybe a ceramic mold of a ball and try to mold it how you want it.
But a solid black ball may be your best bet. Drill and cut into it. And make the 8 for the center out of plexi....

Hi! i know this thread is decently old, but i have a solution for you!!!!

http://www.koolknobs.com/

the guy there did my custom knob and was SUPER helpful, he has some examples of what he can do and stuff he has done. He doesnt mass produce anything, so EVERYTHING he does is one of a kind. I had mine done by him and to be honest one of the most common compliments I get on my car is my shifter lol

Hope this helps : )
