XB: New Hood Demolished

Thanks to the fucksticks over at Con-way Freight, my pretty Fiberglass hood which was going to be one-offed with different venting/additional venting was cracked to fuck and back.... Here's pictures of the aftermath.. I just hope the body shop I'm taking it to can repair the damage within reason...

It sucks when you get something so beautiful that you can conceptualize on your perfect ride, only to be ruined by some rednecks driving a freight truck. I've tried to file a claim with them and they are not wanting to take responsibility. So I face either waiting out 2 months to get $ back, or pay the extra and have a body shop reglass the areas/reinforce and spray it as I wanted...

Chock it up to evoulution and further out of pocket expense...

atleast now you can take care of all the weak spots the hood had..other then that thats def a nice looking hood..shipping sucks soo much..good luck with it tho..

Man that sucks, shouldn't be too costly getting it fixed, but it still sucks you even have to take the time to do it. :(

Yes i do.. but i have no where to work.... and not the tools anymore...

Hood looks way different but yeah I see what you're getting at. The hood on that car is pretty cool but the old school lines from the mr2 and otherwise stock look make it seem out of place IMO... Now here's a monster of mine that we worked on for quite a while that just flows and has a similiar type of hood: (was searching through my old pics):

Yeh. i had alot of dreams for that car and i bought that hood on impulse cuz i had the money couple weeks later i said to hell with it. sold it. bought my xb. the mr2 was my dream car from when i was a lil girl but i couldn't put up with the problems. but it does looks like your hood style.
