Get a Fidanza Flywheel and a stronger clutch to setup for your turbo (do them at the same time or wait until you can do them at the same time). The gains you see from the Fidanza will overshadow everything performance you've done to your car.

I won't go into the over/underdrive pullies though... :|

You could get an envelope, a stamp and mail it to me. This would save you all the worries of figuring out what to do. :rofl2:

Seriously, I agree with the others. Sounds like a turbo or something is the next step looking at the list of stuff already done. Good luck

Looks like a turbo it is.....the only reason I am heistant is because I am working with ZPI on a sponsorship deal........

So set the money aside for a bit and see if the ZPI deal comes through. If you have the money then there is no reason to rush, especially if someone else may be paying all or some of it.(more money for other stuff)

well ... auto kinda kills my wanting a turbo ... good thing I dont have an auto ...
Sound like you need a body kit, fitted, molded, paint matched. good to go ... I'd suggest buddy club 2 ... nice clean kit, not over doing it. costs ilke, I unno, 800$ I think? but bc of the fiberglass it'll cost you in the area of another 1200 to fit it and paint it.

and you still have some left over

aZepolyn
05-13-2006, 10:15 AM
the kaminari is nice, but you wanted unique? I've only seen 2or3 BC2's out there. Off the top of my head, I already know 2-3 that have the kaminari, and I know I've seen more. Or the K1 Widebody, I think its an AIT Racnig kit? I cant think of any personal owners that I've seen with that kit, just project cars by a couple companies

Krdshrk
05-13-2006, 10:18 AM
I've seen 3 AIT Widebody kits... I know one of the owners.

I've seen the Buddy Club 2 kit... It looks great. It's cheap (under $1k), but it's fiberglass. The fitting, mounting, and painting will run you at least $2k. One of my other car clubmates has it. It was a lot to put it on.

Anonymous
05-14-2006, 05:00 AM
The expense of getting it put on right is to much for how much damage there would be if I just tapped a curb.....not worth it to me.....atleast with teh Kaminari I can get urethane and have it last longer.......Besides, when I am not showing, I am thinking I might want to pull atleast the front bumper off so that it isnt' all pitted and rock chipped.....when fiberglassed on, that is impossible.....

Good point.......I might look into that......... any new ideas........ Thought about Delorean doors instead of reverse lambo........but the amount of bracing required might be to much....... I might look into though......anyone know a good custom shop in the Seattle area?

For full moulding and everything, that kit will run you $8k.

i think molding a body kit onto a daily driver is the stupidest thing you could do. if you hit something on the road, not only is the front bumber fucked, but so is the fender, and the side skirt! don't get me wrong... it looks hot as hell!! and if you decided to install lambo doors AFTER your body kit has been molden on... not gonna happen...at least not very easily.

If i had 4k to spend, i sure as hell wouldn't be asking people what i should do with it! if your looking for unique, then do your own thing, not what other people think is fly.

one of the 1st things i'm doing to my project TC will be a targa top, body kit, then to the paint shop.

thats just me tho. whatever you spend your 4k on, i'm sure it'll make your ride look HOT.

if you want my suggestion, i'm with Jon.... TURBO!!!!!!!

I was down with molding anyways.....but those are very good valid points you made.....I think the turbo is a definite though.......

THe main reason I am asking others is because I wanted ideas....nothing was ever set in stone, just wanted ideas on what was possible......

Once I get what I decide done, I will definitely post pics......

05-15-2006, 01:16 AM
any of the current turbos on a daily driver automatic would rank up there molding a kit. There just isn't enough mileage on automatic tCs with a turbo to make a definite guess as to which is more reliable. And since it's an auto and that denies access to flywheels, I'd say just toss it in the bank and wait for a rainy day.

Well my car's a daily driver and I drive 20miles on average Mon. - Fri...I agree w/ krazylowgsx. After a year of molding my bodykit on all I had were a few minor cracks and had it re-painted and touched up again. Luckily the shop that does all the body work on my car is also my sponsor, so I get really good deals. But most shops charge a butt-load for body work. So there's definitely a lot to think about before getting a molded on bodykit. Plus the fact that it's a permanent modification that will need (hopefully just a few) touch ups to keep it looking good.

My car is one WHOLE molded piece except for the front bumper. So yeah...if I get into an accident or hit something on the highway...it'll be a hell of a lot of body work to fix. In July I won't have to worry about the tC after my new car arrives. The tC will live in the garage from there on.

Also about the Lambo doors.... right after I got my bodykit put on, this guy w/ a tC was willing to sell me his Lambo kit for $200!!!! I was pissed when I found out that it would take too much time and money to install it :( If only I had met him before the kit....

Michael good luck on your decision...it's a hard one!

Anonymous
05-15-2006, 05:57 PM
Yeah, it is a a hard decision........I would have still tried to fit the lambos unless they were the cheap ones.........

Not into the whole molding thing on my car. I do think it looks totally hot though on most.

i would do a body kit before i'd do a turbo. I'm glad a few of you guys could relate to my previous post. i knew i wasn't crazy :bash:

but seriously... 4k could buy alot of things. you have to decide if you want one big mod, or a bunch of little mods, or a few meduim mods. so far, you have really good ideas (except for mikes dumb ass wheelie bar comment  ), and i know how you feel when it comes time to make the choices... i've been there brotha...more than once.

good luck with your purchase..

ps... i wasn't being rude in my last comment... i re-read it and i realized that i sounded like an ass.... sorry for yelling 8)

Anonymous

Naahh....your post was fine. I knew what you meant and where you were going with it. Its all cool. I think I am going to do the kit. Now I just got to figure out which one........Buddy Club 2 or Kaminari. I am leaning more to the BC2 since it is seen less but I want to wait until the aeroflex fiber comes out.

Also thinking of replacing the second glass piece (part of sunroof that doesn't move) with carbon fiber.......so that would put CF on the hood, trunk and in the glass......

aZepolyn
05-22-2006, 04:46 PM
dont think of the BC2 necessarily as less, it'll cost a peice more than the kaminari to mount

Krdshrk
05-22-2006, 04:53 PM
Yeah... the BC2 kit is mad expensive to get fitted and put on.

aZepolyn
05-22-2006, 05:02 PM
I'd be almost willing to bet it'll remain the same even with aeroflex fiberglass

and I dont know about this carbon fiber on the roof thing ... that sounds kinda ridiculous to me, have a pic or something of practical application? I don't see it working

Krdshrk
05-22-2006, 05:09 PM
Actually - if you replace the roof with CF or some other material, it'll probably strengthen it up nicely. An all-glass roof flexes a lot.

aZepolyn
05-22-2006, 05:12 PM
I suppose yea, for autocross purposes and such ... but is the tC so hard up for solidity that it would need this? cus Im trying to imagine it, and I'm imagining it pretty ugly. He already has cage and such in the cabin, would it make that much more of a difference in addition to that?

Anonymous
05-22-2006, 06:29 PM
I didn't mean cost wise for the BC2 I meant that fewer people have it. That is all........

The cage worked great for solidity but I am going hardcore for the autocross look besides the ice I already have....... it wasn't intentional but it has kinda grown that way so I am going with it. Just got to find a place to do the CF piece needed. Once I do that, I'll take the interior roof peiece and re-wrap it with custom fabric and cover teh extra hole.

Krdshrk
05-22-2006, 08:21 PM
When you consider how much the glass roof creaks and flexes, more rigidity will really help.

Anonymous
05-23-2006, 12:42 AM
Damn straight.......

Am thinking about doing the whole roof but not sure......

This is my opinion and mine only cuz of my experience with the company... Stay away from ZPI... Get turbonetics or wait for this new turbo kit coming out by decent... Only real reason I say turbonetics is cuz the Unichp engine mangement is probally the only one that works good for our cars. It changes the output of the ECM not the input like greddy and the others.
