Now, I wasn't sure if this pertained to all Scion models, so I post this question here.
I just received my new HU (Kenwood DDX6019) and I check out the wiring harness for all year Scions. There are corresponding Power Antenna wires. Now I've never connected them before and I'm wondering if I should. Is there a benefit to connecting it? Is it for better signal?
HEP! And! Seems there a connection for a wired remote (looks like I might be able to use the steering controls!)
Anyone familiar?

I believe the power antenna connection pertains if you have a car with a power electric antenna. as far as steering wheel cotrols, you can get the PAC-SWI interface. Do a searh on scionlife. that will give you steering wheel control.

No you dont need an antenna amplifier. What Sid is saying is to hook the blue wire on the new female toyota plug up to the blue or blue/white wire on the Kenwood harness(use blue/white if the Kenwwod harness does not have a blue wire). The blue wire is a power antenna wire, are cars dont have power antennas that rise up like in some cars, but we do have an amplified antenna that needs to be turned on to receive good FM or Am quality signals. ( Wait what is AM, isnt that like the morning or somthing, LoL) Just as a note the blue wire cuts power off to what ever is hooked to it, when you go to CD mode and the blue/white which is the remote turn on lead for an amp stays on as long as the radio is powered on. So if it has the plain blue wire off the keen wood hook it up to the blue on the Toyota harness. Hope this helps and makes sense to you, if not let me know.

The wires are there in case you get one put in.....just leave the wire unhooked......not sure about the steering wheels controls....

Not every wire has to be plugged in somewhere.
