Hey Jason, you know my background with turbos's ( I think ) I would go with the ZPI kit, I have talked to the alot and it would be well worth the time and money spent to have them do the install also, no matter what kit you go with you will have to upgrade your clutch too, I recommend the stage 3 set up I have done ALOT of research on this and maybe someday the B will be turbo powered and this is exactly what I am doing.

Yea, I think ZPI is one of the only companies out there with a decent kit for the xB. They have done a lot of research and testing to get a turbo to work on boxes. And if you are going turbo, you won't need headers because you will get a turbo header with the kit. Just be sure to do A LOT of research before you buy. You should be an expert on turbos before you decide to throw one on your car.

I must say after pokeing and proding around some ZPI threads they seem to have it together pretty well.

Ya, if you order the ZPI kit before you leave for your 4 month tour it might be at your house when you get back, or at least soon after.

I've been talking to kenny at ZPI for a few months now, just " keeping in touch " and the kits are avaliable and on hand most of the time, when I talked to him last week he had 2 kits ready for buyers, they had some bad management in the begining of the business but stuff has prety much smoothed out.

Maybe, as Brian (J3ST3R on here).
Oh, and I know someone who has ordered a kit for the B and they were told it would not even begin to ship til the end of April.

Jason, you know me and turbos!!! lol. let me jump up in here for a split minute. first of all, there are only a few companies that make the kits for the xb. second... if you were bitching about the $800 half shaft you replaced a few months ago, don't put a turbo on your B! I have also been talking to Kenny since i bought all the shit for my tc, and when they came out with the B kit, i jumped all over him with questions. Needless to say, most of it was what i was expecting. the only thing i don't like about the kit, is that the turbo is dam near under the car. it doesn't affect performance at all tho. most other kits have retarded intercooling piping going everywhere and the ZPI kit routs them in a way that you can't really see. If you want to buy a "kit" then you don't need to worrk about a manifold b/c all kits will some with one. Jon know (and others might too) that i'm not all that big of fan of Zpi for the fact that it took them 3 months to ship my tc heard that i paid $2200 for. Kenny made it up to me tho! I think the ZPI kit sells for $3500. It comes with everthing thats needed, like most other kits. thier kits come set to 7.5 psi and dyno at 187whp! I talked to kenny 4 days ago and he says he runs 12psi, but is breaking the half shafts. you also need to know how to tune your shit, or find someone that does or else you'll be worrying about a motor, not the halfshafts. and like Jon said... expect a long wait when ordering from ZPI. Kenny won't give just anyone a discount... you gots to know people..lol
on a side note... i vote that you paint your B before you buy a turbo kit!
and yes... they will work on the auto trans. they mocked up and installed the kit on an auto (just a fyi)
