Just got an xA and had a few questions...

I just got a 2006 xA and I had a few questions about it..

1. When I unlock the car, the inside lights don't come on.. are they supposed to?
2. In the hatch, is the body supposed to be exposed? It seems like plastic or something should be covering it.
3. In the little compartment, under the headunit, there is this ugly orange light. How do I change it?

1. Do they come on when the doors open? (If not check the switch on the Center light)
2. Body exposed? Should be a spare there and a cover.. so no your missing some parts.
3. Actually you can pop that cover out and just remove the bulb.. If I remember right its just a little bulb condom that changes the color.

1. Ya, it comes on when I open the door, i just thought it was weird that it didn't come on when I unlocked the car because my boyfriend's xD does, and any other car I've ever had does, too.
2. Oh boy, where can I get the parts I'm missing? Know off hand?
3. Oh ok, cause the orange is gross. I'm thinking pink :)

Oh i know, I love them, too. I live in south Florida and this tour, the closest they are coming is Atlanta, GA. I was going to drive myself (this is a feat because I get lost coming home from work I'm so directionally challenged) but i have surgery the day of the concert.
Krysta is seriously my idol, I want to be her, it's kind of sad lol. I got her heart with wings on my chest, too. I can seriously listen to them all day without ever getting tired of them.

I can only imagine. I'm hoping they come down my way soon. Even to Orlando would be good enough, I'd make the drive without a doubt.

Louisville is about an hour drive for me. Definatly worth the drive for most shows.

Well, the thing is... I went to this dealership one day and was like "oh man, I really want an xA" and they're like, well we actually don't have any right now (this is a Toyota dealership), so I started looking at an xB but then decided to look at some other places for different cars even though the xA was my first choice. I spent the entire day at dealerships to no avail.

The next morning, the salesperson at Toyota that I dealt with, called and woke me up and said a 2006 xA had just come in. Lucky me. So, a couple hours later, I went in and bought it.

I guess as soon as it came in, it went out on the lot because they knew I was going to get it or something. Anyways, long story short, they didn't really do anything but change the oil. The paint is in pretty bad condition, it idles very rough, they didn't change any of the fluids, it had a dent in the hood and the front badge was missing.

So, since I got the car a week ago, I've had to change the spark plugs myself (and by myself I mean my boyfriend), change all the fluids, put in a new oil filter, etc. Now, the worst part of the car is the front bumper and undercarriage. We've come to the conclusion that the person who owned the car before me, pretty much ran over every curb they saw. The bumper and front undercarriage look like someone ran over the little parking thing in a parking spot, and then reversed and just about took the thing with them.

So, the dealership won't do anything about it. It's coming to where I may not keep the car because of the condition it's in, which I'm hoping it doesn't come to that.

Sorry for the book, to answer your question, if I do keep the car, I want to lower it, put a system in it, and change out all the bulbs to pink, at least. Maybe later on a pink suede headliner, if I'm lucky. :)

Aw man! I can't believe a dealership would send a car out like that. Maybe I was spoiled by my dealership even buying a used car, or they were nicer to me because my boyfriend bought a new xB...I don't know.

I hope everything is better with your xA. The xA was also my first choice, and was difficult to find. I originally was seeking out a black one, and saw the dealership had one - gone when I went to look the day it was posted online! Someone had drove it away that morning.

I then found a blue xA, and knew that two other couples were looking into test driving it. When I came back from test driving it, I put down my deposit and went to the bank...took it home that day!
