Face it, no matter which wheels Scion puts on, they will not appeal to everyone. I think the wheel covers give everyone a chance to customize the xB to their liking. It will also be cheaper to install wheels after purchase.

It's different for a Scion. I love the shift knob, and that body kit is BADASS!!! and it looks NOTHING like the RS5. Different body kit. NO sunroof. different exhaust..

Just yesterday we shared with you some pics of and specs on the latest Scion Release Series, the xB 7.0. It's a tradition of sorts for Scion to come out with a new Release at the LA Auto Show. For this go-around, Scion seems to have been indulging in some fermented grapes, as the bloody thing is painted Murasaki! That would be purple for those of us not fluent in Japanese. Well, we have just one thing to say now that we've seen it in person, we're glad it's going to be limited to just 2,000 units.

It's not so much the underlying xB, or the DAMD body kit, or the custom stitching on the interior. It's not the TRD springs for sure, and the new exhaust tips aren't that bad. It's just that when the whole thing is swathed in purple, we can't get past the color. In any case, you can check out the high-res gallery below and the press release after the jump and judge the 7.0 for yourself.

Scion Announces Pricing for xB Release Series 7.0, Will Debut at the 2009 Los Angeles Auto Show

TORRANCE, Calif., Nov. 30, 2009 -- Scion announced today that it will be displaying its latest limited-production vehicle, the 2010 xB Release Series 7.0 (xB RS 7.0) in the Scion booth at the Los Angeles Auto Show, Dec. 2-13, 2009. The xB RS 7.0 will begin arriving in dealerships in December 2009.

The xB RS 7.0 comes fitted with a four-piece DAMD body kit including front and rear lower lips along with side skirts. The xB comes exclusively painted in a distinctive color appropriately named Murasaki, which means "purple" in Japanese.

One of the most distinctive features of the xB RS 7.0 is the TRD sport muffler that exits out the center of DAMD rear lip. The exhaust system features twin double-walled tips and is specifically designed in conjunction with the DAMD rear lip to give the xB a sporty appearance and a sound that can only be found on this particular Release Series. To complete the stylish exterior, the xB RS 7.0 is equipped with TRD lowering springs that bring the ride height down over an inch and offer sporty handling. A color-keyed rear spoiler will be available as an option.

The interior of the xB RS 7.0 features exclusive black fabric seats with color-tuned highlights that complement the car's exterior. The sides of the driver and front passenger lower seat cushions are embroidered with the "RS" logo. The driver is also treated to a leather-wrapped RAZO GT Formula Spec shift knob that delivers a sporty feel.

Only 2,000 units of the xB RS 7.0 will be built, and each vehicle comes with a unique, individually numbered stainless-steel badge. The xB RS 7.0 model will carry a manufacturer's suggested retail price (MSRP) of $18,320 with a manual transmission, and $19,270 with an automatic transmission. A limited supply of the available color-matched rear spoiler will be available to xB RS 7.0 owners and carries a MSRP of $320, not including installation.

The delivery, processing and handling (DPH) fee for all Scion models is $670 and is not included in the MSRP. DPH fee for vehicles distributed by Southeast Toyota (SET) and Gulf States Toyota (GST) may vary.

I will reserve my opinoin till I see the actual car. The color is to light IMO and does look like a girls car. That being said the wasbai green for the xD looked like puke in the pics but not bad when I saw the actual car. I really think a dark purple would have been a better choice but the mods are pretty sweet. So I can't wait to see it at the dealership.

I immediately thought purple and green! That's a classic combo. If I had an RS, that is EXACTLY what color combo I would use . . .
Just imagine it w/ green seats, trim, and a few LEDs. That would be COOL!

Plus, it would be excellent for a Joker themed toaster. In most of the comics, the Joker uses panel vans of various types and in Batman: The Animated Series (and its sequel) he uses a purple car. The xB RS 7 would be a great basis for a very cool themed vehicle!

Are you talking about the bumper or the rear lip? The bumper is the same as all of the other xB2's, however the lip kit looks like it sticks out some.

the color of the car is pulling out the bumper more creating an illusion it is out farther.the brighter the ride the more curvy it gets. That is why the all white xb2 looks so different than most others. I love everything except the front lip.

Thanks for the daylight pictures, Lunchbox...much better than the LA show pics.

First thing I see is peeling the "A" pillars for more purple. I like that it is nice and low. I've ordered 16" rims for it, so I'll keep the original rubber. I ordered the spoiler, security, and fogs OEM. I have smoked tails coming from EagleEyes and I'll be putting the 8000K HID's in. See, I don't even have it yet and I'm modding it. Seamless vent visors in smoke, smoke tint...the list goes on.

Went to Carlson Toy/Sci to get the ball rolling on my a-pillar creek, and I gotta say, that center exhaust is much better in person.
I'd recommend those buying one get some 3M type clear protection film on the front of the side skirts behind those frt wheels, looks like that paint would be almost gone in a year or 2. Just my opinion:ponder:

Speaking of the sickness...my 2009 xB, still in my garage, has quite a few mods, some I took off before the trade, some I didn't. I removed the HID's, the side vent LED's, the eyelids, body graphics, windshield banner, tails, cluster, and interior LED's. I am leaving the Tanabe NF210's, super white fogs, vent visors, and 6.5" Pioneer speakers in the rear doors. I have the new rims sitting at Discount Tire waiting for the new car; and, a whole list of other mods. Now, if I just had the car...
