i got to thinking this weekend that my engine bay needed something. i decided that i should paint my engine cover. i used duplicolor sandable gray primer & duplicolor Grabber Green engine paint. figured i'd give it a trial period before Asylum to see how it holds up.

Looks really good.

You should paint some other little stuff in the bay the same color

has anyone ever painted the actual head cover? (the metal piece that is actually part of the engine ) That was just my humble idea, even though the pics of the engine covers are pretty amazing. good work!

Not paint.......but I powder coated mine.....I've designed an aluminum coil pack cover that will hopefully be ready in about three weeks. I'm having to wait on the machine shop to have some down time to do it. :-(

Why such a bright ugly color Domino? Why not silver or graphite? Green matches what on your car?

Here's my bay, have a few touch ups like a matching oil cap and battery tie down. Pretty much it until I figure what i want to do as far as an Intake goes.

Can I ask how much it cost to get it powder coated? I have a number of things I'd like to powder coat but have no idea how much it normally runs. Thanks!

I will powder coat any Scikotics valve cover for $45 + shipping. Doesn't matter if it's a standard color, textured, translucent...all the same price for the forum. The only way it would be any more is if I had to make a custom color.

Sweet! As soon as I get my header and cold air intake I'll be looking to powdercoat. Can you drive around without a valve cover?

Cool.......and no...you can't drive without one. I'm doing my best right now to find an extra xB and tC valve cover so that I'll have one in the even anyone wants one coated.

btw...sorry to jack the thread Domino.../jack over :toast:
