Hey guys, I need advice. I wanted to go forced induction for the longest time now, now that I can afford to get into it, Im confused. I've read up on turbos and the I dont want to go more than 6-9 psi, im looking to add power but I dont want to blow my engine/go crazy with it. I do have an automatic tc with 55k mileage, all is highway(drove 90 miles a day to/from school) and cross country(coast guard). I wanted to go supercharged since it seems safer, but I can't find an auto fit kit. I found a used ZPI stage 0 kit for sale for 1300 obo. Im curious if this will hurt my engine running it at 4 psi without the emanage until I can go up to miami and get a tune, if I decide I want more than 4psi. I am also nervous of having my car turbo at 55k if thats too late in the game. any advice on this kit would help I just want more ponies without a crazy price. I dont have 4k to drop on a descendant turbo kit here is the description: hes also including an intercooler and I have a trans cooler already. I would LOVE to go SC instead already have a kit I want but I cant find the $*%*%( Auto fit kit, called dealers all over the USA, posted on scionlife and cant find one.

i'm selling my ZPI stage 0 for a 2005-2006 .. it comes with a Greddy type RS BOV, AEM eugo AFR gauge, turboXS high performance boost controller (manual), Greddy fuel management option 1 (Emanage blue and 440cc injectors with clips) with the DEZOD pnp harness .. $1300 OBO shipped (PM me an offer) .. all you need is a Boost gauge and you'll be ready to go .. thanks for looking ..

First thing you dont want to go S/C its not a good setup at all and I havent herd many good things about it. If you get the ZPI kit that would be great for you auto. You can run the stage 0 at 6 psi on the stock computer and stock injectors. I ran the same stage 0 setup for 15K miles with no issues and I had a blast with it!! It would be a really nice setup for your car for now. And if later down the road if you want to throw on the intercooler piggyback and injectors you can with no problem.

This will really wake you car up power wise for a fairly low price. I would be scared to put this on looks to be a nice kit.

nothing wrong with the s/c. especially if you're not planning to go nuts, since they're severely limited - peak is 12psi on the housing I believe.

the s/c is also a better option for auto tranny's since the powerband is less aggressive. And as everyone already knows - I'd take a s/c over a ZPI turbo kit anyday.

I personally wouldn't buy a turbo for an automatic...unless I had a separate savings account for replacing transmissions. with the stage 0, you'll be hitting 210-220whp peak on 5.5psi. That's about as far as I'd take the auto tranny. If you wanna run 7-9psi, swap in a 5spd. You'll be happy you did.

55k is a perfect time to go boosted. Your engine is broken in - has some miles on it, so it won't be thrown off by the boost as badly as a week old car would - ask me how I know lol. As for boost - i ran 7.3psi untuned for a year. Car leaned out at high rpms, and fuel dumped in at idle, killing the car - but those were the only problems I had. Apparently 7.5psi is the limit before you run too lean too often, which kills the motor.

And the auto fit kit just moves your oil dipstick - you can do that yourself and save $55.

That's not a base stage 0. It's coming w/ eManage, upgraded injectors and the Dezod PnP harness, i.e. you've got engine management. Get a boost gauge and if it spikes get off the gas immediately. I'm assuming there's a map for the tC on the eManage but you may want to check or retune when you get a chance.

there aren't any maps pre-loaded unless the previous owner had one. either way I'd always pay to retune the car.
