Front plate?

For those who require a front license plate- how do you have it mounted on the stock bumper? I just got a ticket for not having one, even though it was on the dash.

I screwed mine into the bumper, then bought a smoked cover to put over it b/c my xb is black. The cover helped make the plate blend in, so depending on what color your xb is, you could find a tinted cover of the same/similar color so it would blend in.

I haven't been pulled over yet....so I don't think so. I have a friend who is a cincinnati police officer, so I'll ask him today.

thats good stuff... just moved back to ohio and never had front plates in any other state i lived in.. was bummed bout drilling into the bumper!

i had to plug my bumper when i moved to florida way sweet here

so guess best place to put the plate is in a different state

Yeah. I live in Chicago. They're super strict about the stupid front plate thing. Totally bogus. Smoke covers are illegal in Illinois, but they aren't too strict if it's on the front, as long as there's still a front plate. The back plate's a different story though. No covers for those.

Not sure if it will work for xb's but I have this for my tc, so no drilling and no holes in the bumper... Ever :)

I would be screwed in almost any other state. Glad Indiana is a little more laid back on car laws.
