hey all,
has anybody used the PAC steering wheel interface here:
http://www.pac-audio.com/productDetails.aspx?ProductId=210&CategoryID=29
...if youve replace your stock stereo head unit, this handy little product plugs into the new head unit's wired-remote 8mm jack, and then hooks up to your steering wheel's audio control wires. somehow you program it, similar to how you would train a universal remote.
while PAC doesnt cite compatibility with Pioneer's AVIC-U310BT, im considering it for that unit since others on the pioneer forums have said it works.
anybody use it w/ their scion? i have a 2005 xB.
what? a 2005, you ask? "But a 2005 doesn't *have* audio controls!" you exclaim. this is true. which gets to the second question i have... does anyone know if:
- a 2006 xB replacement steering wheel will work on a 2005?
...if so, i could get a replacement sport wheel (w/ audio controls), then hook its control wires into the the PAC unit for piping into the pioneer head unit...
very curious.
