ok so i work for binswanger galss company and i decided to look at the cost of glass for the vehicles.....DAMN.. dont piss n e one off. the windshields for all three vehicles start at the low 200.00s, the bak glass for the xa and xb end at 440.00, the tc starts around 200.00 and works its way up.. so after seeing that i made a few calls to see why they cost so much.... "uncommon parts". WOW... a vehicle i see tons of every day is an "uncommon part". ok but n e ways i will get prices for door glasses and post them next. and if you get a dorr window broken out let me know i may be able to get you a good price and if not i can definately install it for you. n e questions just give me shout.

why is it that a glass company can't get a windshield installed after installing and reinstalling same windshield over 20 times and a different brand/new windshield over 15 times?
just curious how hard the xb is to install a windshield in

not really hard at all. all you do is remove the rubber moulding around it and cut it out.. nothing really to it after that.

is it clear silicone or black... if its black thats windshield sealant (if they fixed a leak) or possibly eurethane which is what they usually use on windshields. if it is completely covering it you can just clean it off. sometimes it can peel off or you san use a razor blade and an orange scrub.

its the urethane, both a-pillars (inside and out) and the roof, and the top of the dash is covered in it

i am sorry your ride got scewed up... you should take it back and tell them to fix it or you can go to a different shop. but if they got eurethane everywhere they should clean it off not you. like at my shop, we carry lifetime guarantee on leaks and air noises. maybe you should swing by if your in the dfw area. give me a shout. 469-835-6149 and i can work out a deal with my boss.

they carry life time warranty too, but they've already cut it out over 35 times in 2 weeks, and I refuse to let them "fix" (screw it up worse) again, they lost parts of my car!

well damn man i am sorry. what parts did they lose... i wish i could tell you something useful, but my only advice would be to go to another shop.

I would go to another shop but I'd have to pay for it out of pocket, they lost the peice of weatherstripping on the cowl, and the statewide manager tore my head off for pointing it out
