well i might be havin to say goodbye to the toaster. I hit a deer comin home early this morning about 1:45 am. i have pics from my digital camera but i'm gonna go get some sleep for now. The deer hit mostly on the drivers side front. The drivers side fender is all shot, the bumper is shattered, drivers side headlight shattered, HID bulb busted, hood is bent. i'm fine, the deer is not. i gotta deal with the insurance company tomorow, yay! so, thank God i'm not hurt, cars can be replaced right? i'll have pics up tomorow for ya'll

They totaled mine and I bought it back. She's good as new now for a total repurchase and rebuild under $8,000.00.

But Bambi's head was stuck in the windshield, while I was still going 50. When the A pillar could hold him no more, his body flipped around and trashed the drivers side.

Horns help though if you have enough time to react. Whenever I see a deer in the road, one hand instinctively goes to the horn. The headlights hypnotize them, but a push of the horn button usually brings them out of it. It is second nature to me after growing up in rural Iowa.

i'm still waitin to hear from the insurance company. i don't know whats gonna happen still, the body shop said it's fixable, but the subframe looks bent up. who knows..

UPDATE!!! Got the body kit in yesterday, i decided to completely re-do the body kit since the first one looked like bigfoot's dick. This kit has a plate in the rear bumper, so we had to cut the bumper reinforcement bar, and weld a new part in. I decided to get the hatch shaved completely since the plate will be in the bumper instead of the hatch, and we're relocating the popper for the hatch to fit right in the cutout for the license plate in teh bumper, so it'll be all sneaky like. I decided against getting a CF hood. Still waiting on the headlights to get in. Should all be done in a week, two weeks max (keep your fingers crossed and knock on some wood) I decided to scrap my glassed dash i have in there now because it has too much shiz wrong with it, and i'm gonna do a new one. So hopefully by the end of April the dash will be done too, just in time for show season. I'll post some pics when i get it back. Thanks for the support during all of this ya'll
