well keith this will blow everyone's mind because I bought a used set yesterday and everyone was baffled I will post a link to the manufacturer who no longer makes a subwoofer that size but they did Win the most promising product award this year at CES which I applaud them for and I had no idea who they were I just knew a well made woofer when I saw it. These guys are less known then elemental desighn and the winner of my all night calling and researching http://www.funkinaudio.com/subwoofers/sxseries/fasx-380/index.html besides elemental desighns I didn't even know small little American companies still exist like this. It's kinda neat to me since I live in NC and they are in Georgia. It also looks like they have won some major sound competition awards check out the link I am suprised but like I said I knew a good sub when I saw it I am getting ready to go take out the back seat and get these two big bad boys installed in the car I tested them last night and they hit harder then my new HCCA orion ten I just spent a fortune on so looks like I will be recarpeting the box I bought off ebay and reselling it. I like these better man if you could hear them.

installlation finished withthe subs and guys I am absolutley amazed these subs rock I think we are now a dominate force in the spl arena I haven't seen subs respond so well and cleanly in along time at 200 watts a sub you can barley sit in the little XA you carnk it up to 600 watts rms per sub and the front glass is flexing omg even the orion can't hang with these babies. I did some more research and this company primariley desighn subwoofers for other manufacturers. the sub cone is carbon fiber and man do they hit. I have no idea what new cost is on these and they only sell 15's now but I would recomend this company after what I just heard. I think the 22 inch MTX jackhammer hummer in town is in trouble. If I don't get the XA in a magazine now something is seriousley wrong. we are still going to give elemental desighn a try but I am now declaring I have found a better more efficent set of woofers then orions these babies pound. I had to take out the back seat the box is so big but omg they hit hard

let me say pics aren't exactley the easiest thing for me to do because I still have no mastered getting them on the site I have not started my photobucket yet. here is some info I got from the owner about their current wooofers and I was wrong them are 15's because of the massive outside rubber ring which you cannot even get a speaker grill over I miss measured.

A little history: I have been doing car audio since 1981, I started
installing and shortly after opened several retail stores. I have worked
in the research and development department for MTX, Bostwick,
Streetwires, and others. around six years ago I went freelance and
started an engineering firm doing design work for Memphis, JL, Rockford,
Lightning Audio and others. a couple of years ago I teamed up with a
Chinese partner and we started our own line and launched it last year.
We design everything ourselves we do not do off the shelf anything!!!
Our prices are a little higher than most of the startups recently but we
felt our product would stand on its own. Our thoughts are you can strive
to be the best but you can never be the cheapest, we do not want to
climb into the gutter with some of these other guys.

I do not know which of our 15 inch subs you have, we have SX and SL. The
SX is for ported enclosures and the SL is built for small sealed
enclosures. this among several other factors will determine the exact
frequency you need to be at, we usually start at around 45hz. I have one
SX15 in my XB with 800 watts at 45hz and it pounds.

The SX has a three inch voice coil and is rated at 350 per coil,
however we have guys on the team dumping over 3 grand into the SX at
shows with NO PROBLEMS!! Most of our guys have the same subs they
started competing with over a year ago.

The guys at ROE know us, they did a test of a new driver we have called
the MF12g2, it was the loudest sub tested, they used over 9,000 watts on
it with no problems.

I hope I answered most of your questions, I will be out of the office
until Monday I am traveling to see some dealers in the southeast. Give
me call if you would like next week, our number is 706.335.0060. and our
warehouse is at 60 walnut street, Commerce GA. you can see all of our
products at funkinaudio.com

Thanks,

Michael

I am in disscussion with the owner about talking to frankenscion about a scikotics group discount on woofers for everyone. Not to mention these guys got most promising subwoofer award at CES which your more then welcome to look up to refrence I woud say they deserve some attention for the competion guys out there and I will attest that they will out knock orions and any MTX woofer I have heard to date.
