The bondo on my speedometer cover cracked and the paint on my speaker grills started peeling...fuckin' a. So, this was my solution...I thought I was going to be showing today, but it rained like a mother fucker so I didn't go.

I'm not positive. It wasn't from flexing though. It may not have been completely set before I painted it, or it may have just been from the heat. It just started to lift up from the lip around the outside of the speedo gauge where I filled in that lip. There was a gap and the paint was all cracked. I tried to fill it in and repaint it, but I gave up.

What's primer?
Fucking A, mang. The paint didn't peel, I bondo'd the entire lip of the speedometer cover and for some reason, it started to lift off in one section. Bondo is stronger than paint, and thusly, the paint cracked where the bondo lifted up.
I did this:

And where that blue box is, the bondo lifted from the plastic. Yeah, I cleaned it first so there wasn't any grease or oil or anything before I bondoed it, and I even scuffed it up a bit but it's hard to get in there so that might be it.

you should never have bondo thicker than like the height of a nickel... or else it will crack

Now I know, but I didn't then. I just used it to fill in that lip. Thanks sweetheart. :loveit:
