I used a lcd heat monitor box out of a computer. cost 20 bucks it has a nice ice blue look and twelve heat sensors which are displayed digitally. I got looking at guages and tey were so expensive I thought to myself well a computer runs of twelve volts so I bought one that looks like a turbo timer and it monitors all my temps very accuratley. i even verified with a laser heat gun to grade the accuaracy. if your on a budget look into them this is the one I used i think they have some more coming in soon http://www.xoxide.com/logisys-35-digital-fan-controler-black.html I also get my cold cathodes here as well great prices at 1.99 per tube.

yeah they have just about everything there from cold cathodes to light up keyboards leds ect ect ect things you never think were out. I have bought items from them for years and they are grade A with everything they have sold me. I have done most of my lighting mods in my car for a fraction of the price of what other people spend anything like cold cathodes laser leds or teperature monitors for computers run off twelve volts and all you have to do is cut the computer plug in off and hook up the power and ground wire easy as pie. The heat sensor is easy too and you can add more sensors to it like I did same princaple cut of the computer connector and wire it up add extra wire to the sensors run them through the fire wall and place the copper wire on parts you want to measure the temperature
