I definately like the old one better. The box is what put Scion on the map. You are right, the new xB resembles an Element. The bigger engine is very nice, but I will have to poke around inside the new xB before I make my final decision.

No shit...I just got to work and I had no idea. I really want to see it in person before I can make a judgement on it.

The new one is cool, but I think i'd rather the old one...I'd have to see in in person too...

The new box AND the Xd.. both look like Scion is pulling away from the YOUTH oriented image that they were striving for and that put them on the map.. Somehow I think sales might fall the next few years for Scion if thats the next generation. Just my opinion though. The FUSE might bring them back up if it's not too late by then... 2009
we'll see

Theres more than one choice available? All I can see is choice number 1. Then there appears to be an ad for a soccer mom mini van or something under it.

Now that I am seeing the models again...and they are not all decked out by
5-axis, I am liking my original box better...I think I will stick with number 1, although the new box has a tC engine in it!!!

I like the old one WAY better... When you think of Scion you think BOX! Not ELEMENT!!!

When my grandma from up north asked me about my new "boxy" auto over the phone...she asked if:
It was the one that looked like a refrigerator or a toaster!
Maybe Scion will get this going:

Remember the movie "Predator"? Thats exactly what the front end of this car reminds me of. Arnie said it best when he looked at the monster and said "Your one UGLY mother f**ker."
To me, the key elements that made me want to buy a box to begin with have been deleted from this current version.
The visibilty has been decreased with the solid C pillars. The single oversized speedo ON TOP of the dash is gone. The ease of getting in and out of it isn't there any more and not to mention it now looks to SUV-esque.
I was really hoping for something better than this but I guess it only makes the 1st Gen stand out that much more. I hope I can keep mine on the road for the next 20 years
