NOS Energy Import Meet: Baton Rouge - 11/22/09

NOS Energy Drink is hosting a make up meet for the IFO event that was rained out last October 4th. The make up meet will be on Sunday, November 22nd, 2009 from 11am to 5pm at State Capitol Raceway near Baton Rouge, Louisiana ( www.StateCapitolRaceway.com ).

This meet is NOT a lifestyle event, car show, or drag contest with national points racers. There is no competition for “best paint” or fastest car on the strip. Instead, this is a meet for the local, grass roots Import community to cruise out, see each others’ cars, and socialize in a laid back, safe, controlled atmosphere without having to worry about getting run off by the Police. Attendees can even test their cars on the drag strip any time throughout the meet! For those wanting to make test passes, the track will be fully prepped! Expect to hit some of your best times on this winter day.

There will be a $10 admission fee to help pay for meet expenses (venue rental, security, etc.) but if you have a rain voucher (blue arm band # 49k - 50k) from the Oct. 4th IFO, it will be honored at the front gate for free admission.

Ok im am pissed.... i took alittle while to write this since i came straight home from an event that was suppose to happen, and took a nap. Maybe I am mad because i dont feel very well but someone from IFO should have posted something up here before 9:00 this am to let everyone know that it has been cancelled due to the rain. This is an epic fail. I drove for about an hour to get there with my group of peeps for nothing and wasted about a 1/4 tank of gas for nothing. Thanks but no thanks. They rescheduled this event to next sunday. Which i say no thanks because there is no damn sense in this. If you want people to come to an event and advertise for it, You should let the same people know that you cancelled an event. Now Import Face off was an Epic Fail as well as Import Meet, so now im thinking Should i go to the next event in hopes that it takes place. Or go home with my tail between my legs. I felt like IFO (company) shat on me today or for the car show. Take some fucking time and say ok guys its cancelled it only takes a minute or two. Really.

yeah i drove out there too, checked before i left but didnt hear anything. there were a few people hanging out there when we rolled up but kind of dissapointing. and im working next sunday so that blows. super nos/ifo meet.
