Ok, so most of you have seen my "system" before and know that for awhile I was very proud to show it off.. Well, we've gone to a few shows after having this stuff in my car, but recently i've wondered why the car doesn't even get a second look. SO me and some of the guys in our chapter went to a GOOD & CREDIBLE audio place to get one of the other guys some tunes for his box. My friend asked me to pull my car up to show the "cool" stuff i had done to mine. As soon as i opened my hatch, the guys kind of looked at me funny.. they said when and where did you get this done?!? I told them about 3 months ago at a place called CSW in Bakersfield. I asked him if this was show quality, cuz i was wondering why i hadn't won anything for it yet.. he tells me that my set up is about 10yrs old. He proceeded to show me things that weren't even, and how crappy things were put together. He says, I hope you didn't pay more than 5k for that set up.. (and of course i did). What's worse is that the place that i got this stuff install said i was getting like a 60% sponsorship from them so really the stuff cost like twice that! NOOO! I hate when people lie to me, and put cheap shit in my car. So YESTERDAY i start taking things apart and realize that everything is put together with cheap walmart brand RCA's (that don't even fit on the connection right) when it should be monster cable running everything. On top of that, they made the whole thing with this THICK ass wood so it weighs down the back of my car, which you all know the TC is already TOO FREAKIN' HEAVY! and this just makes it worse.. so i'm calling the place today to PROBABLY have them take it all out.. and i'll just have it redone. It partly my fault for being so impatient, but i think i must have SUCKER written across my forehead and people just see me coming and know that i'll buy anything.. well, NOT ANYMORE! They tore up my car for nothing.. and now i gotta take the time to fix it.

Sorry to here that maaang. When it comes down to spending alot of cash on a system and having something custom built, you want to make sure you go to a shop that can show you some photos of past setups they have done so you can get an idea of there work...
Hopefully you will get things squared away and get the system and setup that you are happy with.

If you get a box out of wood it is going to be heavy wood... Better be MDF 3/4 no matter what..... Its heavy but its only thing that will sound good and not flex.

Me I fiberglass... its fun and you get to do custom ish in the car.

fiberglass isnt that time consuming if you just have people working on it daily.

well im pretty sure the guys at the place i went to, don't even have the mental capacity to put something like that together.. and now that i've spent $1500 on install from my other one (which i prolly wont get back) i dont think i really have the money to do it over right now. I still have other things to do before the show. (coilovers, exhaust, headers, lights)..
