Supposivly after 05 a coating was put on the sunroof to cause it not to fall in on your head

I use cp films south american safety film tint combination you get both in one film any Lumar installer should be able to get it for you it's only 40 percent darkness though

Sunroof Deflector is fine now - they have something like that underneath it now to prevent the shattering.
You know what else would prevent shattering... for a much cheaper price?
Window tint.

the recall was to help keep the glass from falling back into the car, if the material is thick enough the guard will absord most of the impact so it shouldn't shatter as easy
