i had a question for all you xb guys since i drive a tc and dont kno anything bout them, is there anyway to make them faster, engine swap. maybe a mr2 swap or b16 something to make the box faster. i saw the tien xb and i would buy one if i could make it fast. get back at me.

As far as I know, there haven't been any engine swaps done in an xB. However, there are superchargers and turbos available for the xB if you want to go the F/I route.

With the right amount of time and money anything can be done. But at the same time it is a box and really not built for speed :)

isn't a b16 a honda engine? If you search on clubxb i think I remember seeing a thread about engine swaps...but i know i've seen vids of a boostd xb smashing a boosted tc
Alexandria, VA...I have a homegirl that lives there...

sick, well no i was looking at the tien box and i was thinking about how cool it would be to see a xb in a SCCA race, who cares if theres no areo dynamics. plop a fast engine in that bitch and b gone. i dono i could just see that thing hoppin around all low on tight springs. then i get to thinkin bout a drift spec xb, kinda like wut their are doing to the new honda element, taking it from 4x4 to 2x4 and drifting it.
i thought of a mr2 engine because its stuck in a small place also and i kno that the xb's dont have alot of room to work with, wondering if anyone has done anytype of swap.
true you could boost a stock xb but how much hp would u be pushin really, would it watch a S/C tc. i want that bitch to be fast

i've had the same thought myself. i've been around SCCA racing for quite a while and see the same cars all the time and thought something different would be cool to race. with GT road racing, aerodynamics are not as critical as speed and handling. i found this video to prove the point. watch it and laugh your ass off.

Great video Toby  I may know that guy. A friend of mine who goes by Panama Mike has a split window bus with a Porsche 6 cyl & 5 speed trans set up.
Topic related, I've done several engine conversions in vw's.
1 of my pages: http://volksweb.relitech.com/robw.htm I'm not familiar with Toyota yet, far as engines, trans set ups, what's interchangeable with what.
I will have a fast B some day. Not sure if I'll go turbo or swamp. Wish I could help more. I'm ready to learn with you also.

they were doing a corrolla swap on SL, oh and you can't swap a mr2 motor in legally simply because its illegal to swap a motor into a car thats newer then said motor

they are using engines newer then the cars or the same age, if you live in a state where they inspect anually, you'll get busted and most likely loose the car
