Ok heres the deal, I found the limited edition Tc rs 5.0. Sticker price is at $20,779. I was wondering if this car is good for dd in Minnesota? What are the pros and cons(honest opinions please)? Im thinking about $18k out the door, do you think its reasonable? But yea I just wanted to check here first.LMK ASAP!

well i use my RS5 for a DD and its reliable. i was trying to go for a $18k car also but ended up with a $23k car instead. I love my RS5 though i wouldnt change it. I couldnt be happier. get what you want, make sure its what you really want bc once you have it its hard to let go

dood. I'd snatch it up before someone else does. the RS goes FAST! as in if it's there today it might not be tomorrow.

I was also worried about the Chicago winters before I got my 2007 TC but I had it all last winter and she handles great in the snow with the stock rims and tires. Mine is an auto so I couldn't say if a manual would handle any different. This is my DD as well and my only dislike is that it is a 2 door but it looks so damn good that I cannot even imagine how it could have 4 doors without ruining the lines and look of the car.
Hope that helps a bit.

Welcome to Scikotics. Your car should be fine in the winter, and as far as negotiating a price on the RS, well Scion has pure pricing so there won't be much wiggle room.

Welcome!
Just to let you know there is no haggling in the price of a new Scion. The price on the sticker is the price you pay.

Welcome to Scikotics from the Red River chapter!
I have the RS 4.0 tC, and I don't regret buying it. Like someone mentioned before me, they don't last long. If you want it, you better go get it before it's gone.

As a former Yankee ( now NC girl!) I think that you should be fine with the tC as it is front wheel drive. I used to have a little escort and lived out in the country in NY and seldom had a problem. If you lower it enough, you can sub for the snow plow. :freddo:

Welcome to scikotics from the chicago chapter. I guess that your tc should be just fine in the snow. Before i got my b, i seen all kinds of scions roll'n in snow here in green bay, wi. (no packer fan here..."go bears") as long as you have stock pizza cutters...i know, cuz' the day i got my b, it snowed like an inch and my b came with aftermarket rims and tires and it did terrible in the snow...i couldn't turn or go or stop...so now it's only for summer time fun...so as long as you keep your steelies on for the winter you should be just fine.
