HELP! How To: Clean The Throttle Body 05 XB?

Hey Guys,

Need a little feedback before I under go this task of cleaning my throttle body on my 05 xb... The reason why I need to do this is because I’m getting poor gas mileage so I called my local scion service center and was told to clean my throttle body/use fuel injector cleaner... If anyone has done this or has experienced poor gas mileage on there xb and turn it around hit me up and drop a few line I would truly appreciate ya! :bow:

reccomend using berrymans b-12 in the spray can and spray the inside of the throttle body real well and use an old tooth brush or ur finger to clean inside (open the throttle by hand to clean all around the butterfly( with car off)) then start the car it wil blow smoke and prob idle high at first.

havent done with the b yet but most cars u can spray a little at a time into the throttle body with the car running and give it a lil gas when acts like its gonna die. this will prob throw a code on the b
