I've tested this before on my 626 and it came out better than what i though it would have, just wish i could have found out about the MetalFlakes when i was doing them...

So now I'm gonna try it on an extra set of stock tails... the different Kanji's correspond with the function of the light it is covering, i.e Stop, reverse, left/right blinker...Instead of painting it blue like everything else I'm gonna do TCM. Hopefully it comes out good...

Basically what I did tp make them is print out a symbol, then tape it to the lamp with scotch tape i use the kind thats not "invisible" but kinda cloudy to make sure i get it all off. Then cut around the edges with a x-acto...the 626 ones i used sand paper to sand them, but i couldn't find any the grit i needed last night, so i used an abbrasive wheel on my rotary tool. then I'm gonna hit it with a bunch of layers of color. One thing i did last time that messed it up was sprayed the color too thick, and it ran down behind the parts that weren't tapped up too good. so I'm gonna do maybe 5 thin color coats, then even more clears...

are the letters going to be any wider, cause that is pretty thin???

nah...they look goofy(ier) if you make them wider without making them taller...

Well since we finally are getting some sun after what, like 2 weeks, I'm probably not gonna get to paint until tomorrow. I have to get my hair braided when i leave work. I will try and get the paint mixed at carquest today...plus my nine.1 comes in today...

Hopefully the color comes out good, if so I will get a shop to clear it for me...
