Hey guys,
Im looking to install my fujita cai tomorrow on my tC and after looking at a few DIY's I have a general idea of how to install it but at times I find myself getting a bit confused. Does anyone have some useful tips on installing it? And is there a way where I can just slide the intake down into the wheel well without having to either remove the bumper or the inner fender lining? Thanks.

i dont think you are gonna be able to slide it in without removin the tire and plastic cover (its easier to remove them), if it is the same as the TRD CAI there is also a nut that you have to put next to the filter to keep it in place. hope that helps.

Its a fujita intake and it doesnt have another peice which connects in the wheel well other than the filter. But I took a look at the engine bay myself, and I was thinking that if I perhaps took out the battery after removing the stock intake system, that maybe I will have enough room to slide it in. Anyone tried this before and had any luck? and thanks for the responses.

ya i also ran outside to look at mine and the space after removin the stock air box is not enough to put an air firlter through unless the air filter is really small.

hmm well the filter is quite large and letsee if it wont fit due to the spark plug box thing than perhaps it would fit if that was out as well? but at the same time i have no idea if that is removable or a good idea to remove.

its not the spark plug box but it is the fuse and relay box, but that its out of the way.the reason why im sayin it wont fit is because the hole on the cars body is not big enough, the other thing you can try is turnin the steering wheel all the way to the left/right and remove the plastic there should be just a few screws nad clips and that may give you enough room to put the filter on.

mkay, haha well in that case, and after all of that, it looks like Im gonna have to just take off the fender lining. Hmm but then do I really have to take off the wheel? Couldnt I just turn it all the way to the right and then cram my little self in that small area to get in there and just put on the filter?

if that doesnt give you enough room you will need to take the wheel off.

I agree, instructions/manuals are the way to go!
Just go over it a couple of times and visualize it.

You can also look at the instructions on TRD Sparks for the TRD Intake.

you do not have to take the tire off just turn it all the way to the opposite side of you but you do have to take the clip's off and remove that plastic or just pop it off and work around it .. but if you take the front bumper off it is ALOT easier
when i installed mine i did not take my tire off nor the bumper just the popped out all the plastic in my wheel well and popped it back in when i was done but when i was putting my body kit on and decided to clean my filter i found out removing the front bumper would of been a lot easier

so I just installed my intake today. It took me about 4 hours to finish in the end. When i drove it around I definatly noticed quicker throttle response, and am very pleased with that. However, at first a few of my electronics werent working properly. After playing around with all of them I got just about everything in the car to work, only the button to roll down the passenger side window (on the drivers side controls) doesnt work. Does anyone know what might be causing an issue? And for some reason my cai gives off a deep roar compared to what ive heard from youtube videos. Is that bad as well?

the fijita cai sounds deep, thats normal. the passenger side window control as well as the moonroof controls have to be reset every time the battery is disconnected
