Hey all, name is Guy, not a member or anything just posting up to say hi! Trying to learn as much about what appear to be the only two clubs in my area before I make a decision.

I live in Seattle (downtown in a condo) drive a 05 poloar white xB. Not too much done to it, actually, just leather.

Anyway, hopefully someone can hit me up with some details on what the Seattle chapter is all about? I really like the looks of whats going on in OK but being broke kinda prohibits me from motoring down there too much.

There's a Northend meet every third tuesday of the month at the Alderwood Mall in Lynnwood. That is pretty far from Tacoma.

I know there are a few other meets from different groups of people. They have a schedule of stuff on ScionLife in the pacific northwest section.

:welcome: and there is also no application, once you register on the site you are a member. so the only thing you really need to do is PM the HMFIC and show up to some meets that they may be having so you can meet everybody else in your chapter

As Ryan said, there is no application. The only qualification is that you own a Scion and you aren't an asshole. :wink:

Brad nor many of the current members have been very active on our site -- which is a little frustrating. I see, though, that several new people in the Seattle area are joining.

You should contact Brad or Shon. They should be able to give you details.

:) Anyway, Welcome to Scikotics. I have no idea what goes on in the Seattle Area but hopefully you and the others can get it moving and get more to post on this site.

I'd like more information about the Tuesday meets up in the north end. I'll try to make some of those since I don't mind commuting but I'm down in the south sound (Auburn/Bonney Lake area) and would like more information about meeting up with locals down here! I saw someone was from Puyallup (Daffodil Valley represent...haha). I also know some Auburn-ites w/ scions.

I'm going to be at the Lake City Dealer event as well as the Mukilteo Spring Drive. Also, I'd like to know how to get my hands on some decals/stickers as well!!!

Belinda is getting ready for Global since she is a model and besides, she is pissed at SE really really bad....one of the guys was giving her hell apparently. I wasn't there so I am not sure on the exact events.......just know she got really mad.

Don't kow the exact count or who got them from SCN in Vancouver but I think it was something like:

Scion Other 1st
Scion Other 2nd

Scion xB 1st
Scion xB 3rd

From what i hear, everyone that went had a great time........Since Scion is not in Canada, there was alot of energy around the cars.......

GLobal only had 1 trophy for Scions and it went to Kal-El of SE. He had the Superman xB...... but from my experience there as well as otehrs, the general consenses was that it sucked balls.......

Yeah, my hubby and I paid $50 to go and we were done with the whole floor in under 30 minutes. And of the Scions...most of the xBs were stock dealer models with very few mods other than rims. That's not what I meant...sorry. I was trying to say that this is a easier competition to start off with in comparison to something like HIN. It would take me years to be ready to present a car at something like HIN. This one was a little more casual and had a lot of cars that were more in my class.

I know I'm just a crazy girl and this doesn't make much sense...hehe.

Honestly if someone doesn't decide to step up and take charge soon, this chapter is not going to last long anyway. I was told it wasn't going to go down without a fight, but that doesn't seem to be the case.

You know, what's funny about this chapter is that I never expected it to loose members, if anything, I expected it to grow a bit more. Guys, please don't let this chapter die out. Most of you seem proud to be Scikotics and seemed very eager to get it going. So what happened?

Those are the only two qualifications I started with......lol. This is the first car club I've ever been in.

The problem is mainly that once you hit about Northgate or so, car enthusiasm just kind of stops. There's no drag strip within reasonable driving distance, there are only one or two performance shops whose main purpose is window tinting..and most people just don't care.

I'll still rock Scikotics even if there isn't an official chapter, but unless there is a sudden upsurge in scion modders up here, there will still be very few of us Northenders.

When/where/is there going to be a next meet?

I believe there wasn't enough real interest in a south-end meet, so for the moment it's the third tuesday of every month at alderwood mall. once we get closer to that i'll post details on it here and on scionlife. it's basically a gather round the warm glows of our underbody lights and talk...assuming folks show.

I figure it'd be beneficial to kind of tack ourselves onto some of the other "local" meet-ups since there will be waaay more people showing up (so I've heard, anyway.)

I know there's a meeting at the Lake City Dick's Drive-In and some others listed on the Scionlife M&G thread.

I think that the Lake City meet isn't happening this weekend due to the number of shows going on, so next month I reckon.

There was a guy that worked @ the parts dept @ Rodland that gave me a business card for the group (they said he dosen't work there anymore though).
I say get sets of stickers made up and more business cards! I see people with scions everywhere, just gotta ask, talk to them & see of they're interested! If nothing else leave them a business card under the wiper... I'll spread the word though, try and help breathe some more life into the chapter!

Ok guys, seeing as we only have 2 active members of this chapter anymore we are going to have to close this forum. To be an official chapter you have to have 4 active members. :(

Michael doesn't seem to be following through on anything he said he would do so I feel that we have no choice but to pull the plug........for now!

I would love for you two (Matt and Eric) to sign up in the Member@Large forum until we can find you a few more active members. Then we can start anew.

Please don't take this as me kicking you guys out, like I said we would love to have you stay in the club, it just has to be in the Member@Large section until we can make the chapter official again.
