Shit if you just passed 30k on the stock tires I will have mine for a long time lol. I use my stock tires like 5 months out of the year because of winter.

my stock tires were gone by 16k. 2nd set 36k. price depends on which tires you buy.
dont buy the same tires that came on the car. they suck.

I got 50k on my stockies. Did loads of highway driving though so that may have made a difference. Course that's on my '05 when they still made tires worth a damn

I've got some falken 452s right now that are AMAZING! If you want something cheaper I heard Avon Tech M550s are good and so are Nitto Neo Generals.
Oh yea, I've heard good things about general exclaim UHP being very good for their price.

Look into th BF Goodrich G-Force line. The KD is designed for dry use only, The KDW is for dry and wet, and lastly the KDWS is an excellent all-season tire. The G-Forces have a STIFF sidewall and are designed for hard cornering. Had a set on a older car of mine a few years back, and hated letting them go when I traded it in. :(

i had 215/45/ZR17 S-drive yokohama and just replaced mine after 3,100 miles .. i had lowered my car when i got it and was told you needed to do an alignment since you messed with your suspension or your tires will lose thread a lot faster then i was told no you do not but i never did cause my car drove ok and one my new tires i just went ahead and did an alignment and mine was ALOT of hwy and interstate miles to but i do drive kinda crazy at times, lol
so if anybody knows the answer to that please let me know is it true you need an alignment or not after lowering it

i guess it depends on how aggresive your drop is. when i got my trd's they said i would get a free alingment since it was a trd/toyota part so i had mine done.
now something like tein s-techs i would totally get it alinged, bigger drop than trd.

I would say lower than 2 inches you should probably get it aligned.

Yokohama S-Drives FTW!
I got slightly over ~60k miles on the stock rubbers. Majority is highway driving but yeah they were suicidal in the snow after the 2nd season.
I got Kumho Ecsta ASX and just took them off last month because they're starting to get scary in the wet. I probably got over 65k miles on those. Great tires for the price, a very nice upgrade from the stock ones I had before.
I may try Generals next. There are a set on my other car and they seem to be ok, although I am very happy with the Kumho's in term of price and performance I just may stick with them.
