Does anyone know if it is possible to run the light under the radio in the cubby hole and also run wires from led lights underneath the car to a switch installed on the panel by the steering wheel to turn the lights on and off? I changed the cubby hole bulb to a blue LED, but sometimes i like it completely dark in my car.. Is this possible?? So the lights do not have to be on at all times? Also what does everyone wire their underneath lights to?

Just cut the wires on the back of the light in the cubby, and splice them into the lights under your dash. It'll turn off and on with your switch after that. Don't forget to tape up or put a cap on the end of the wires you cut so they don't arc out on anything.
Normally the underglow comes with it's own control box that you can turn off and on.

most lights come with a red wire and a black wire. the red wire will always be the positive and connect to the battery or other power source. the black is always the ground and you jus have to connect that to a metal part of the car. put the switch in liine somewhere along the way like a house switch and that is your on and off.

If I remember correctly, the little lite in the cubby is a white and black wires. The white should be hot, and black ground.
