Do you have the directions on the computer? I had a viper system installed and the morons at best buy didn't remove it because they said it was a keyless entry unit with out an alarm. So now I have two systems that fight from time to time. Sorry for the thread jacking.

sell it and get a true 1/2 mile 2-way. the factory alarms are total junk. mine is responsible for the theft of my headrest monitors as well as a broken window. the damn thing never went off.and yes, it WAS armed.

iisnt most of the time factory stuff plug and play?

as for the guy with the two conflicting alarms... they jacked your install. the aftermarket alarm has an alarm turnon and turnoff wires that turn your factory alarm on and off. it should NEVER conflict. unless you use the factory key to unlock the door, and not turn off the aftermarket alarm with the remote.
