View Full Version : decepticon tC?
so yeah, I want to add a decepticon touch to my tC, but before I start trying to make crap on my own, was wondering if anyone knows if anything exists for the tc that would fit this theme??
I found some really low qual stuff on eBay, so please, dont send me there again lol.
thx =)

You could get a custom decal made for your ride. Like a bodywrap!
If I had the money, I'd have someone do a police car bodywrap for my tC. Best thing about bodywraps is you can take them off later and your car is back the way it was.
nah, looking more for like premade grills with the decpt emblem, etc. Transformers are robots in disguise remember ;) dont wanna have a huge decal that says 'hey look I'm a robot!' lol
=D just really lookinh for little accents to add. ie. oil cap, grill, etc

Hmm...your best bet would be to search ebay or various websites. Once you find the emblem you want, then you'll take the Scion one off the grill, and place the decepticon emblem in it's place.
cant just take the emblem off the grill. would have to replace the grill. its kinda molded into it :P
looking into things though. found a few different items I may use. looking to get some purple leds inside as well maybe. not sure yet.
any more ideas are welcome :)

Well, the emblem actually does come off just fine. It's not molded at all, however the placeholder for the emblem is molded. That's why I was saying take the emblem off and use the mounting placeholder to mount the decepticon emblem.
But yeah, purple LED's inside would look nice. You should mix it up with purple and UV!
ah ok i see. still new. gonna look at it and see how much trouble to take the scion emblem off.
found a nice oil cap and some sweet exterior emblems already. but thats just obvious add-ons. I need to really put my mind into gear to figure out something to really make this a unique project, cause anyone can do these simple things really.
again, any ideas are welcomed :)

To get that emblem off just take some dental floss and start on one side and use a sawing motion to work your way around it. There are two lil rods in there to ensure proper alignment that you won't be able to cut through but that is ok cuz they are not glued in or anything
cool thanks for the tip. when I get the decept emblem in, I'll be posting for tips on how to do this for sure.

hate to break it to ya trauma... but you've already got competition lol... i've had auto bot logos ordered for my tc... maybe the two cars should meet up for a photo op or something lol... it was easy for me because I have the k1 bodykit with the grill mesh, so I can just attach them when they get here lol

Let the competition begin!!!
lol, my car will steal your cars gas money. :P
I got a long ways before I get a body kit on mine, so I'd say you're a bit ahead.
what type of logos did you find? standard decals? aluminum with 3m backing? or the type you actually have to bolt on?

Hey Michael, if you steal some gas money, throw some my way!
I wonder how much it'd be to wrap a car. Like full body vynil.

i found some on ebay that i had on my tC years ago. they are nicely made polished metal, very sturdy. i have long since taken them off cause the movie was advertised and EVERYONE started showing up with them all over the place and i said screw that haha.
right now the color pieces have come off but the emblem still look really good. i stuck them on my scooter recently, lol.
if i put them back on the car i am gonna paint it to match and mold it recessed into the back hatch garnish so it looks stockish. the height of the scion recessed oval and the emblem are exactly matched, so it would fit almost perfect.

tried to find it on ebay but i guess in the years they have stopped selling them. the rest don't look near as good.
i have some close ups of it on the car somewhere but you can at least see it on my grill here.

i actually found semi decent red tinted mirror etched with the 3 mm backing... given all the publicity I think I'm just gonna scratch that idea... I'm going with something not too many people have shown off lately... black and silver with a superman flare! inside and out lol... big reason is one of the xb's in the area is decked out already with autobots, so i wasnt goin there lol

You should try to remove the eyes on the emblem and wire up some purple led's to shine through:)

what color is the TC? I think it might make a difference in the way with the theme. I have a gray Tc and i have been doing little things to make it different. I think a dash like the one i did in mine would look good with a decepticon symbol on the radio cover. you might wanna check it out and look at that idea. I just took my dash apart cleaned it really well and used paint from auto zone. And with the interior lights turn them all to purple and even the gauges.

My theme is the Blue stealth suit from Ironman. I found this pick from a recent comic book of how Tony Starks suit gets taken over by a Tranformer I thought it was a great mixture of both.

Here is what i found....
Buy something like this and download the sound clip you want then just program it. With this one you can set the unlock/lock sounds, open and close the doors and the rear hatch and a few other options
