Do you have a header or exhaust yet?

^^^That would be the next step or maybe a new pulley.

I have a straight pipe exhaust for now.....It is going soon......But I was thinking header....But I didn't know how a pulley would do or what it would do?

don't add a pulley if you have a manual the pullies are only showing great gains on the automatics at least with the XA. I would getting a good clutch stage 2+ from SPEC and having the flywheel shaved thsi will give you better bite off the line and you will rev up through the gears faster. Getting a header is a great move but remember the cheap ones are almost as good as the expensive ones and I own the TRD header. I would buy an inexpensive ceramic coated header. I think the guys on the echo forums are using OBX there is still large debate about tourque loss with changing the muffler with the valve inside to regulate backpressure but overall I don't think adding a catback is going to kill you that much on tourque go with a strup though so it will sound deep not raspy.

Also tihten your throttle cable this will give you a little bit better response other than that I can say most everything else for power isn't going to give much gain. sart doing suspension stuff. My personal recomendation would be megan racing front under body brace 80 bucks. meagan racing springs 80 bucks. KYB racing echo shocks and struts 140.00 bucks they are hard to find so it takes some searching. sway bar endlink modification 20 bucks. Progress technologies rear sway bar 254 bucks hotchkis upper strut tower brace 140.00 bucks it's very well made that why I like it. Then buy some reasonable rims that aren't to big where you can't handle personally I have 15 inch volks and get some yokohama tires and your all set everything else is just for show and audio.

Exhaust, maybe synthetic oil, maybe small nitrous kit..

If you're keeping it N/A, put on a header, s-pipe, full exhaust. That will give you a little bit.

I know my spelling sucked on the first post sorry i was in a rush. Do not forget iridium spark plugs they do make a diffrence. keep in mind performance wise you can dump tons of cash and not get a descent horsepower return. NOS on such a high compression motor even though the motor is cast iron sleeved it would be risky. I would consider a TRD thermostat and advancing the timing 3 degrees. People think these thermostats are pointless TRD did make them for one reason to advance the timing. If you don't advance the timing and install one you will hurt your performance. Things to stay away from.

1 camcons very problomatic in most scions

2. Nology spark plug wires. they are pointless with a coil on plug desighn.

If i had to recomend things to you I would say clutch flywheel shaved. cold air intake I run an injen short Ram. either a ceramic header and a strup exhaust or strup header and strup exhaust. if you really want to get serious in the motor there is an overboar kit out there with weisco pistons that will raise the compression and it comes with alot of extras here is the link http://www.importperformanceparts.net/imports/pek-etoyota.html With a cold air intake TRD header catback and lightened crank pulley from agency power and a TRD thermostat and advancing the timing i have trown down a solid 116whp we had a peak run at 118whp but I go with the lower number because I believe it to be more accurate for street driving where conditions vary. everyone always screams charts charts but just by following some simple steps you can increase the horsepower of the car. Now i drive an Xa there is a 137whp supercharged blitz Xb here in town with the added weight and the fact that i do not have to shift I keep up with him no problem and since all my money is dumped into rims brakes and suspension i kill him and lots of cars in turns. That being said his supercharged XB is currentley having a custom wiring harness made and a standalone put in the car when that is done and dialed in there will be no way i can kep up with him the Japanese with the TRD header on stock internals Got 165whp at the ground with a standalone so I imagine he will be in this range or higher with the new injectors and prototype pulley. He has also followed the ECHO champs to a T in fuel management and they are throwing down over 200whp. with all that being said it doesn't take a ton of money if you are smart to get good performance out of your XB be selective on what you buy read others experiences no header is going to give you ten or 15 whp in an XB realistically your looking at 5-6whp and thats pushing it so keep that in mind when you open your wallet. a good ceramic header will do the job and keep the heat down. redline watter wetter will help a little bit for 5 bucks it is worth it. what i am getting at is unless your planing on going all out set yourself a budget of about 700.00 bucks for performance parts installed and throw the rest into some good suspension products and lightweight rims and good tires. If you want really good handling I would stay with 15 inch rims some argue this but I have put down alot of nice laptimes my rims are light they look good and the yokohama tires perform well. there are DIY on doing polyurathane bushing installs and spring installs ect most of these are on scion life you will also find that when you get into these installs some of the info is flawed or incomplete. i would also recomend danile stern lighting to get osram or narva rally halogen bulbs they shine just a good as hid's mine are going on two years at 100 watt low beam 130 watt high beam. or get some projectors and go to hID planet either to do a retro or buy your bulbs or blasts and their forums are outstanding on lighting. This is the best advice I can give you seat cover factory does great work for your seats so does woodview for dashes adn allied hose and tube works does a wonderful inexpensive job on top of the line custom colored shielded steel braided brake lines or any other lines you want in steel for that matter http://www.alliancehtw.com/ and here is the link for daniel stern and hid planet http://www.danielsternlighting.com/ http://www.hidplanet.com/ http://www.seatcoverfactory.com/ http://www.woodcorp.com/ I hope these links help you out. http://www.meganracing.com/ http://www.progressauto.com/

Dumb question....WHat is HID???

It stands for High Intensity Discharge.....basically those kind of headlights you see on some of the higher end cars....like Audi's and such. It replaces the the filament in in the bulb with a gas....HIDs are usually much brighter as well, but are much more expensive.

thanks guys jst trying to help out. If yo hae an automatic get an agency power pulley. one word to the wise I like phil an derick alot they are friends of mine at oznium but on the 06 models you don't get high and low beam with hid you just get one beam. i find a good set f narva or osram bulbs from daniel stern lighting will give you the same visability as hid's in an open housing for a fraction of the cost. I have a few sets in the for sale section. I ran Hid's for awhile and the oznium kit is great it's just not so great in an open light housing it's a whole diffrent ball game when they are in good projectors. Oh and the meagan underframe brace will fit the scion Xa I say that again it will bolt right on I know I did the testing for them. good luck with your rides I followed the echo guys and i love the power and handling I have now. I would highley recomend Injen air intakes strup exhausts and headers as well. Every now and then I will sell one of the tRD headers I bring back from japan. they are pricey but real nice craftsmanship and featherlight. good luck if there si anything else I can help you with let me know the pulle is a very ver hard job to do on the XA took two people three hours to get it on from reading flawed tutorials it is definentley worth it i an automatic no doubt about it. also look into amsoil autoatic tranny fluid you will be suprised the increase you get when it is time for service have them put in amsoil you will never use another tranny fluid for automatics again i promise.

Ya, I would only recommend HIDs if you have projectors too, thats what mine are in.
