July SOTM Nominations

Who's worthy of the July SOTM title??


Here is the general line-up for SOTM:

* 1st of the month -to- the 23rd - is for nominations...no comments or voting or seconds or whatever. Then I close this thread. Only 5 of the nominations will be carried over to be voted on. This is determined by the nominations that followed the posting rules (in the thread) and a few other factors.
* 23rd of the month -to- the 1st - is for voting in the poll and friendly comments within the new vote thread. Then, I close this thread and I add the winners to the front page of Scikotics and make a new congratulations thread for everyone to post in as well. The congratulations thread is the only one that is never closed for each month.

And the winner can not be nominated again for 12 months. But can be nominated over and over again until winning. And they can run for SOTM, if they won SROTM, within 12 months or vice versa. Winning one does not disqualify you for the other.

Since we are Your Friendly Neighborhood Scion Club, lets have fun while we enjoy a little friendly competition!


SOTM:

* You can nominate yourself.
* They must be a registered Scikotics member.
* No member can win more than once in any twelve month period.
* Include a photo, real name & screen name and their chapter.
* Post a couple of sentences or a mini-story as to why you think you or he or she should be the Scikotics of the Month.

Note: The final 5 members will be picked after a fair and impartial process according to the entries presented.

Alright, so since it has been a year, I will nominate him again lol...

I would like to nominate the HMFIC of Myrlte Beach....Tim Abbott aka Spaz aka chic aka whatever you wanna call him. S/N: SpazzySpaz

Tim is the type of guy you can always count on to come help you any way he can, especially if it involves cars. He has made numerous trips to charleston to help out some fellow Scikos with their cars or moving or other miscellaneous jobs and even if it tires him out or its raining, he will get the job done.

Tim started the Myrtle Beach chapter with Bloodless Box and helped start the Charleston chapter start as well since moving to SC almost 2 years ago. He continues to help them every day and tries his best to meet the needs of everyone in our MB chapter.

He is very welcoming and made me feel comfortable with the club and the forums when I joined. He is very easy to talk to or get advice from (he can dumb things down for you in a nice way if needed, i know from experience haha). He is very supportive and loyal both as a friend and a boyfriend. He is funny, a total goofball, and will make you laugh at the random things he does, and if you are sad or upset about something, he is someone you can count on to bring a smile to your face. :up:

............Or if anything you can vote for him cuz he is funny lookin hahaha Im kidding. He defintely deserves another year of victory through all the hard work he puts into Scikotics, his family and friends, his relationship with me (cuz we all kno I can be a pain in the butt sometimes) and his surrounding community.

Title: HMFIC


Pete joined last year just after Asylum. In the past year, he has become the HMFIC of the sole Minnesota chapter. Just a few months after becoming the HMFIC, he got the ball rolling and made plans for the first annual SIN meeting (Scikotics Institute North) for the northern MFIC's. He worked with his Scion rep and was able to get us some swag, a catered meal, and go-kart racing... all FREE for us! It was a huge success and was extremely beneficial to all MFIC's involved, and helped us bounce ideas off others in our region that deal with the same issues we do, as well as what Scion expects of us (there were 4 Scion reps there, along with their boss). Scion was extremely impressed with this event and what we were able to accomplish, as well as what Scikotics has become.
Also, along with help from his V, Kary (XD2O), they have revived their chapter and it is growing. Pete is known for getting to know potential members by going out to grab a bite or a drink with those interested, and getting to know them face-to-face, one-on-one. He is super friendly, extremely goofy, and is really good about making people feel welcome in his chapter. Pete has a tight schedule - between work, a long-distance relationship, and STILL making time to make it to meets and help others with mods. He juggles it well and is always happy to do it.

So, Pete/iaminsider definitely deserves to be called SOTM!

2nd nomination for Pete/iaminsider:



Pete is the reason I am a Scikotic. I was new to the Scion modding scene, and just starting to do work on my xD. I got stuck in the middle of a gauge cluster LED swap. I did a web search and found Scikotics. I searched the forums and saw where a member "iaminsider" from Minneapolis had posted about doing just this mod. I joined, PM'd Pete and within an hour he was on the phone with me, and then at my house, shirt sleeves rolled up and soldering away. I read the site a bit, the history, the charitable functions you all do and said, these folks know what it's about. Scikotics love their cars, enjoy modding them, their's and others, and take that passion and the energy from it and use it to give back to their communities. Pete is the definition of "Scikotic" in every shape and form. He is definitely MY Scikotic of the Month! Thanks Pete!

I pick Amber for many reasons for as long as I known her. She is a open minded person that even if you never met her, you feel like you have and can talk about all kinds of things at the most random of times. I know cause I have texted her at the early hours of the morning and she would respond lol. She is continuously active on the forums talking and greeting anyone she can at the same time being informative and funny to keep the humor going. She is well down to earth and even will lend advice if needed but at the same time lends a open ear to hear what you want to say and give information you need. She is one that literally drove all the way to Asylum on her own and was willing to share a room with me and some others that needed a room to crash in. Even with the loss of her own vehicle...she kept up the Scikotic mood and spirit and is gonna continue to thrive with her new ride she plans to get and rock the Scikotics logo again. I believe she is one that truely deserves a chance at the SOTM.
