Well, a few months back my amp. for my system randomly blew. It was a nice Mono JL Audio Amp. Ive been wicked caught up in bills and shit lately so i bought a cheap amp, 94 bucks, just somethin to make myself an excuse to buy a good amp eventually. It was a lanzar vector off ebay lol, my first thought was wow this amp is gonna suck big time. Got everything hooked up, it actually really pushes my 12" l7. I was shocked at the clean low/mid/high and all around bass that it pushed out. Has anyone ever heard of this brand? It was a first for me.

Lanzars aren't bad for the money and to do a simple and cheap install. The problem with the Lanzar is in the long run they crap out but you never know man. Don't push that amp to hard and it should be fine for a while. I had a Profile California amp for 10 years that just crapped out on me about 3 days ago. I was impressed with it and it was just something to fill a void and I put it in my dads car to give him some bump and it lasted all this time so I cna't complain. You never know what you're gonna get until you actually try it.

I think its great to take a chance on off brands if the price is right, so nice going.

My cheep Dual amps have been great too. I paid $125.00 at Best Buy on black Friday back in 2004. That included the amp & the 2 12's in a nice box.

Stock head unit and without really trying (settings with no boost) it hit around 136. Got a 4th place at the all Scion show 06.

Still working on my SoundStream Picasso series install. Maybe for Asylum.:ponder: But I'll keep those Dual amps if Soundstream fails me. lol

Soundstream won't fail you, I promise you that!!! The picasso series is pretty good. There's a guy selling two picasso series pcx-2000D's for 400 shipped each if you're interested.

 That's awesome! Wish I had the green for that deal. And good to know I did all right going with SoundStream.

My new set up was built around my first favorite piece I picked up last year.

A true vacuum tube pre amp. Now Every piece and almost every speaker including the HU will be SoundStream in my show B.

Can't wait to get it finished.

Yeah, SoundStream has come a long way but they've always had beastly higher end stuff like they're XXX series subs. They can take some abuse and dish out some serious SPL if in the right box. You should be really happy with your decision on SoundStream.

Very cool to know. Thanks Henry. I tossed my 2 12's in a modified box for this show season, but I will need to have something built. Those quad voice coils suck some power. I bet I could hook them up to house current and not blow them

No prob man, that's why I'm here! It takes a mean sub to plug into 110v and not blow! Usually subs with 4" coils are the ones that can take that kind of abuse but if you want to test it, by all means, do so and let me know the results!!!:-) I love watching the vids of subs plugged up to a wall socket, they're pretty entertaining. Good luck with your new setup though.:wman:
