I have had both the Megan short shifter and the NST Short Shifter Kit in my car. I currently run the NST SSK.
Megan Short Shifter -
Substantially lowers the shift knob
Shorter throw
Fairly inexpensive ($60-65 shipped)
NST SSK -
Keeps knob at stock height (great for racing)
Much shorter throw
Don't need to remove OEM shifter from cage
A little bit more expensive but amazing quality
If your looking for a short shifter for the tc.
I highly recommend the short shifter from http://www.doctorisotope.com (http://www.doctorisotope.com/). He has many different options to choose from. The one drawback is that it may take a week or two before it ships out because he relies on those that purchase one to return their core shifter so that he can modify it for the next customer.
I also highly recommend the shifter cable bushings. It completely takes squishyness out of the shifting. My car now clicks into gear, it's very nice.

I have the doc isotope 2" reduction package. Has the cage riser bushings and when I did the core exchange it went without problem. Takes some getting used to with the extra force required to shift, but you get used to it rather quickly.
