"this is an AEM wideband. there are many like it, but this one is Mine. Without me, the AEM is useless, without the AEM, I am useless."

The mission Should ZPI choose to accept it. Install an AEM wideband and tune this turbo tC to prestine running condition, according to the specs of ME. This will require good attention to detail, with minimal room for era.

Build materials:

1 tC with ZPI turbo kit
1 AEM wideband
1 Kenny Strickler brain

Phases

Dash removed
Fitment in desired location
wiring schematic designing

Wiring

ZPI must remove dash assembly and circuitry
Wideband is rather large for the install location
ZPI shall engineer/figure out how to install in the location specified, therefore, modification of cutting the AEM wideband in Half is necessary
HVAC controls must be relocated
Engineer shall unsolder and resolder some odd 40+ points on tC circuit board (x2) as it must be duplicated on the other points
Car shall not experience electrical failure upon reinstallation

Tune

ONE SIMPLE OBJECTIVE........The MOFO shall Shred and RIP the roads upon which it's rubber touches!

Just when you thought ZPI only sold turbo kits... The car is hauling A$$, and kudos go out to ZPI for taking up this task. They don't mind taking on difficult task. If you think this was simple and easy, you should try it. When he told me the wideband had to be cut in half, and resoldered, I knew it wasn't going to just a simple gauge install. The temp knob has been relocated to the left side of the dash where the little black squares are. Don't know if you can tell by the pics, but Attention to detail even went passed me, as I noticed that the Blue indicator for Full Cold, matches the widebands Point of Richness indicator light. And the Red indicator for Full Heat matches the widebands Point of Lean indicator light. And just FYI, yes I do have more than one seat. I just installed the driver seat just to test things out. Also have the Corbeau harness waiting to go in (thanks Corbeau). When the ZPI touches it, it turns to Gold. Ironically the other day, they were working on installing Lambo doors and a Competitors turbo kit onto a customers xB. Their integrity goes beyond their own products. Clap Thanks again guys, for another time and effort well spent.

Thanks Frank. She pulls clean too. I went out for a few 1/4 mile test runs on the HKS TT last night too. On factory Scion tires, I found out that holding at redline in 1st and 2nd gear for a sec or two, yeilds better than trying to shift immediately at redline. If you try to shift at redline, you just bog down coming into 3rd (of course having traction would change this scenario). On the third or so run, the factory tires netted me a 13.52 according to the TT. I was monitoring my speedo at the same time the HKS beeped (signaling the end of the run), and I was sitting on 105 mph trap speed. At the strip, I think I can pull a 12 sec run after a few stabs at it on the drag radials, and finding the cars sweet points.

You have to turn them on in your control panel.

Correct, the Wideband is there to monitor and measure your A/F ratio. It's basically the "eyes & ears" for tuning the car. Before, our car was just tuned off of Kenny's (ZPI) knowledge of the Scion tC and the Emanage. But now after I got the wideband done, he can tune it SOLID. And trust me, it's SOLID. Being able to read your A/F ratio is a tuners tool to make sure the car hits all the sweet spots. Without it, he has to be really good at tuning that particular car (as Kenny is with the tC, as we have had this car and raced it for about a year now without a Wideband, but it's 10 times better WITH a wideband though).

How much $$$ did that set you back?

That's a $1200 dollar job, but I didn't pay that much..:kid:

Man that tC is clean. Did they say how they re-routed the air conditioner knob? I've always wondered how something like that may work.

No, all I know is that it was a difficult thing to do. Two HVAC controls had to be moved, and some odd 40+ points on the curcuit board had to be unsoldered and resoldered.
