it seems g4 (the videogame network) and their car tuning show STREET FURY will be taking a scion tc and doing something special with it. According to the ads seen on the network, this will be the biggest thing to ever use a tC as the starting platform.
big words considering pioneer slapped a 50" plasma on a motor in the trunk. I will be tuning in to see the possibilites. I am interested in what you guys think as well! it will be on at 2pm eastern on G4 december 17th. check it out!
here is the official web site announcemtn, if u care...

I'll make sure I check this out....
But as far as SL....regardless of how lame the site has gotten, we should all be putting some type of posts on there so that others see that Scikotics is here and striving to be the best club to join.

I still post there daily also. But like other's, it has not been very formative or entertaining for the people who actually come for information. It's like you write something, and they read it, but read what they want it to say, not what you actually wrote. Followed by smart elick comments. Thus is SL though..

exactly... it is as if people read things as if they are already forming a rubuttle in their head, as opposed to taking a "give and take" attitude, to think about what you had previously said. Its like battlegrounds, and everyone is looking to protect themselves...
but i digress... i hope that you all check it out and post your opinons here! THIS SUNDAY AT 2pm ET. I am especially looking to the car vets take on masive $$ dropped into a tC, and if they can come up with any little creative tidbits/angles you find interesting!

Man, I hope I will be able to watch it. But something tells me I won't be able too. We will be in FL tomorrow, and won't be back till Tues. (family visit). I don't know if they have the channels, so well see. I for sure want to see what direction they go with on it.

I watched it....They droped a bunch of money into it. Turbo, Vertical doors, i think it had 12-14 monitors...they put monitors in the head lights..., xbox 360, stereo setup, rims, coil overs, and some other stuff.....Out of all the stuff put on it i would have only taken the turbo and some of the monitors.....

What turbo were they using? Did they actually fire it up and drive it some, or is that saved for another episode?

Chris Rado, the race car driver for Scion introduced his new Turbo kit for the tC. He said at the end, that on his stage 1 Turbo kit, that is completely bolt on,with the management system that comes with the kit, that it pushes 350 HP. I would like to find out if he needs any tC's to help Rep his new kits. I hit him up on myspace last night and asked him some more questions about the kit price ect. I am waiting for a responce.

That's actually pretty old news. And I believe your talking about 350 HP at the Crank, not at the wheels. No tC's are running on stock motors with 350 wheel hp. There have definitely been some on stock block with 400+ whp, but they didn't last long. Once you hit the 350whp mark, you are really pushing the limits of the stock block. That's why I think he is advertising it's Crank HP, not the actual WHP. it's called the World Descendant turbo kit. All turbo kits for the tC put out roughly the same amount of whp at the same PSI levels (give or take a few but always very close to each other).
Here is the website http://www.world-racing.com/ Go to the multimedia section to see him tracking the tC on some circuit tracks. Good vids.

It's not for sale yet (that I know of). But the press release has been out for about 4-5 months over on ScionLife.
Found the thread, and this was the first post.
Descendant specializes in performance enhancements for Scion vehicles. They have developed three stages of complete turbocharger kits all centered around the state of the art GT3076R turbocharger from Garrett. Makes 330whp/306wtq at 10psi.

Well the TwinTurbo INC made a post that they where looking for a scion tc here in California to do a sponsorship on. Install evrything even dino time for fine tuning. So I shot them a small but simple and sweet perposal. You never know if you dont try. Right.
Hello TwinsTurboINC. My name is Shawn Hamilton AKA - ICEMAN. I am 28 years of age. I work in Law Inforcement. I read your post about the new tubo kit, and how you are looking for someone in California to install the kit on thier Scion tc. I am not sure if you guys have found your man, but i thought it was worth a try. I am building a show car, but, but, I am still wanting to be able to go to the track. So what im tring to say is that i would like to be Show and Go. I am president of Socal Scikotics Scion car club. Scikotics is a Nation wide all Scion car club consisting of 27 Chapters. Check us out at www.Scikotics.com . I have made a name for myself with in the last couple of car show that i have attended. I will stop at nothing but first place. My goal is to make it to Sema this next year. And this is all i am striving for. My car will be fetured at Hot Import Nights at the Killerglass booth. This is a new vendor for the 2007 season, right around the corner. I hope there is still an opportunity to represent you guys and, Chris Rado, and all that made this turbo kit a real life dream. Who put in all thoes countless hours testing to make sure that you guys put out the best product possible.
Thank you for taking the time to read this.
sincerly Shawn Hamilton aka - ICEMAN.

This was a quote from the TwinsTurboINC. About the turbo kit enjoy.
Guys, first off id like to say Hi to all of you Scion Toyota Fans out there. My name is Eric Kozeluh and I am one of the Twins that owns Twins Turbo Motorsports. We are the guys that developed the Descendant Turbo kit with World racing and Christian Rado. We are in the final stages of completing the kit and reading it for sale. hopefully in the next month or so.To give you an idea of what we were trying to do with the kit we wanted to develop something that would perform great on the street but be able to do damage on a race track. with that in mind we have been testing the kit at various NASA roadracing events for the last few months.the testing has helped us evolve the kit to where we are very confident of its capabilities. How much power it produces, how it responds, and how it lives for 20 -30 minutes of track time at 95+F air temps we are something that we wanted to prove to ourselves before we offer, what we believe to be the best Turbo kit for the TC to the market. Our racing background demands the best parts and performance from anything that we do, and that the car be tested on a race track not just on a dyno.In order to fit the turbo that we specked out, along with the header that we designed and the D/P in the correct sizing that we needed . we had to use an aftermarket aluminum radiator and fan set up to fit it all in. this radiator and fan set up will have to be part of the kit, but we have proven without a doubt that the cooling system is up to the task of serious racing. we just came back form our last testing session at Road Atlanta where the TC placed 2nd in the unlimited FWD class for Super Street time attack. we also did two days of testing at the track before the time attack event. for the record we are using a completely stock engine and transmission, the car is stripped but not gutted, it weighs in at 2600 lbs with out Rado (driver) and is very competitive with our turbo kit, coilovers, front brakes and a simple roll cage.all upgrades that are very easy for you guys to copy and be competitive if you desired.Needless to say we are very pleased with the system...Now here's the fun part, and I am sorry for the long post..we are looking for the right car/person in so cal with a manual TC to be the first to have the kit installed on the west coast. we are going to be installing the first few units to make sure the install and the QC is as top notch as we expect and demand. so with that in mind, we will have complete retail pricing in a week or so,but the first guy will get Hooked Up pretty good, dyno, tuning and labor will be free. anyone interested in being the first on the west coast and one of the first in the country to have the turbo kit installed by the guys who designed it please let me know via e-mail and I will contact all interested party's.thank you for reading this, I hope I am not violating any forum rules by my post..P.S. Twins Turbo will be building the TC into a time attack contender for Scion so we will have good data and we will let you guys know what works on the race track in the near future..so I will be on here every now and then when we have some news for you guys about the car or the products we use on it.thank you very much. OFFICIAL PRODUCT INFORMATION RELEASE
November 30, 2006
DESCENDANT SCION tC TURBO KIT
Thank you for your interest in our Descendant Scion tC Turbo Kit. As an initial matter, we’d like to take a moment to apologize for the delay in issuing this release. In short, we’ve just been extremely busy with our 2006 drag and time attack racing campaigns while at the same time trying to expedite the research and development of the Turbo Kit.
Overview
We are in the process of finalizing development of a top-of-the-line bolt-on Turbo Kit for application on all new and existing Scion tCs. Additionally, in an exciting chain of events, we’ve recently learned that Toyota has integrated the Scion tC drivetrain into all new generation Scion xBs, Toyota Matrixs and Toyota Corollas. As such, we anticipate offering our Turbo Kits not only for the Scion tC, but also for those other three vehicles.
Specifications
The base 320+ horsepower (at 8 psi) Descendant Turbo Kit will utilize a BorgWarner S200 Chris Rado Series internally gated turbo (the turbo itself is capable of generating 560 wheel horsepower) and will be precisely controlled by the “Skyline of Boost Controllers”; the WORLD electronics TBC-1 (or PBC-1) boost controller. All engine management and other customary parts and materials (intake and exhaust manifolds, intercooler, blow off valve, oil pan, etc.) will be included as part of the base Turbo Kit. Additionally, we anticipate offering various exhaust, clutch and other upgrades to the base Turbo Kit.
Timeframe
We anticipate offering a limited number of prototype Descendant Scion tC Turbo Kits in early 2007 at an estimated cost of $6,500. If you’re interested in purchasing one of these kits, please email us at info@world-racing.com.
Production level quantities of the Turbo Kits are expected to become available in July or August, 2007.
Official Information
This is the official release of WORLD Racing in regard to its Descendant Scion tC Turbo Kit and should only be used for information purposes. No other information regarding the Turbo Kit is being released at this time. Additionally, notwithstanding any information or disclosure in this release, WORLD Racing may, in its sole and absolute discretion, change or modify the specifications or timeframe of the Turbo Kits at anytime.

Ow some more viewing pleasure and quote from someone on SL that spoke with the man Chris Rado.
I talked to Chris over the weekend. From what i am being told when the kit is released in dealerships it will carry a price tag of approx. $6500. It is my understanding it will maintain the factory warranty if installed at the dealer. According to Chris you will not need to purchase anything else to run this kit. The kit is expected to hit dealers in 9 months or so. Assuming everything works out. This is all preliminary information. When I have more concrete information I will post it. All I can say is if this kit does end up coming out in dealerships and carries a factory warranty.

They are using a bigger turbo (I think the largest turbo equipped with a kit GT3067R), and they are using a tubular manifold (which aren't cheap). I don't for see Kits flying off the shelves at that price, they should have just provided those high dollar parts as options instead, and sold the kit at a cheaper price. It's still up in the air though on wether or not they will be using the turbo they have been R&D'ing with.
