Fiberglass Eyelids......Installed...Mixed Opinions

I received mine today......i'm having mixed opinions

I love them from a distance but close up something seems to be off.

Maybe because they're white and unlike other colors black breaks up the white so well.

From a distance they look great but the closer I get the more imperfections I see. However, they are fiberglass and perfection cannot be easily obtained.

Hard to tell from the pics, but it looks like to me the fitment is off a bit

I have black vinyl eyelids under the fiberglass eyelid. The vinyl is such a pain in the arse for me to install, that's why I don't have smoked tail or head lights.

i dont like how they dont follow the line of the body...just doesnt look right now flowing into the hood lines, my 2 cents.

Exactly....I might take them off, double-side tape them again and try to get better alignment.

I concur with Troy, but I don't know if double-side tape is going to help. And these are on the outside? Usually rigid pieces such as fiberglass look better when retrofited into the headlight itself. Just my opinion.

If this doesn't work for you, I'd go vynil.

The double sided tape is what they came with originally to be installed outside of the assembly. These were never made to be retrofitted inside of the assembly.

When I made reference to removing the double sided tape, I meant simply taking them off and fitting them on again but the tape is going to be ruined when I remove them.

Both are NIA fiberglass eyelids.

I definitely do not want vinyl.....PITA to install.

I think because they are white you can see the fitment problems more easily. Black would look good. If I did them I would get black but I have other black pieces to offset it.

yes, very nice and clean.....flows about as good as it can with the body lines of the tc...nice example bro.

Considering you have 08+ headlights... and those have the bubble in them may be why they dont fit perfect...

no NIA has to different eyelids for the different headlights the older models have like a batman look to them so the fitment is fine lol i think the reason yours look so off Ecko is cuz you put them up to high i did that one of mine by accident but when i got in my accident the body shop redid it for me and now it looks better :) i say just take the tape off and reinstall a little lower and leave a gap it will look better :)

I noticed the picture of the tc you want your to look like has more of the line showing above the eyelids. Yours seem to me to be placed to high on the light. I would take them off and try to reposition them again.

Yea from my view it looks like the colors off a bit, like stated before, white tends to dull like other colors after a while so when you have some fresh paint on top of older paint it sticks out, so i think its the color to me. Plus alignment.
