any other 4x100 wheels besides toyota wheels work? i'm a junkyard scavenger & i love to make my vehicles unique.

edit* just was checking online & most of those wheels that are interchangable are 13 or 14 inch, not 15 inch.

anybody know if 18x8.0 will fit on a Tc wrapped with a 215/40/18? (thats the size i got from carsponsorships.com)

Also, lowered on S-techs 2.5" front & 2.0" rear

you think i'll need to roll the fenders or anything?

If your gonna run the 19x9 with the 120 lip id say a 40 - 42 would be good...

I was running the reverb 18x8.5 with a 30 or 32 offset.

I am new to this tire thing, so please bare with me for stupid questions. What is the difference in the numbers? I mean, what is the difference between a 205/40/17 and a 215/40/17, or a 205/35/17? Which # is the lower profile? I believe that profile means thickness of tire?

I am trying to learn this as I go, lol. Sorry for being stupid.

width of the tire/thickness/diameter for what size rim.

deflaytedwayz1

the first number is width in mm. the second is the percentage of the first number for your sidewall height. the last is the rim diameter.

These are nice.....Wil they fit my 08 xD? Would you know, even if I install those Tanabe NF210's? I'll be ok with 17's or 18's.

if your talking about the Axis wheels above then yes they would fit. The TC and the XD share the same lug pattern i do beleive the offsets are fairly close. Just depends on the wheels and tire package you choose.

Need info I plan on putting some 17*8 rims on my car with 245/40/17 tires. What is the best offset to push the wheel more towards the outer edge of the car with the least amount of rubbing thank you for any advice?

gotDAMD

Thats alot of tire. If you want the wheels pushed out to the fenders go with a +35 offset, stock is +42 I believe.

Ok I'm really thinking about getting new wheels for my 08 xB. I'm looking at rims that are 18x7.5. I was wondering what tires I should get that would fit on the xB well without rubbing too much. I'm new to the whole moding thing... :) Oh and was wondering that the "7.5" meant in 18x7.5? Sorry for stupid questions :)

I have some J2 rims and was recommended a tire size. So I went with it.
Come to find out, the tires where to small for the rim. So the side walls of the tires are cracked and there are large bubbles threw out the tire. So now im out 750.00 dollars in new tires. I asked the company that installed the tires if they would be the right size. They said yes. Then when I told them what happened 1 week later, they said they wouldn't cover them because it would be a loss of money for them. ect ect ect.

So I need a tire size that will fit this rim size if anyone can please help me out here.

Rim size.

Front 19 x 8.5

Rear 19 x 9.5

If you get falkins they dont rub, but yokohama's rub even if you cut out the fender wells my tires are 215-40-18... You can try 215-35-18 but the tires only last about 6 months

EddNog's Wheel/Tire chart (tC):
http://www.ngtechnik.com/Scion-tC/Wheel-and-Tire-Chart.jpg
so ive been looking at that chart and I might purchase a pair of 19'' volks from a friend and they are set with a 235/35/19 tire and on the chat its in dark red signifying a greater than two percent error. But can anyone possibly predict for me what that error would be? the rim specs are 19x8 with a 43 offset

95-05 are 5x100

Speedometer. Since the wheel is larger than stock size it actually turns less RPMs at the same speed so the ECU thinks you are going slower than you actually are

Anyone see a problem with running 18x8 +33 offset on an xB2?

What would the best tire size be? I was thinking 215/45-18 or 215/35-18....

I've got 225/40 on my 8" wide rims. 215 should be ok, but they will have some stretch. I'd go with either 40 or 45 to give the rim some cushion.

I'm looking at some wheels for an xb2 and was looking for some thoughts on if I'd run into any issues with the size of them. Rims are 19x8 with a 48mm offset. Wheels are 225/35/19. I also plan on adding the TRD lowering springs later this summer. Thanks for any help.

Looking to put some wheels/tires on my xB2. Wheels are 17x7 (5 x 100/114.3) with 40mm offset and tires are 225/45/17. I plan on adding NF210s at some point in time (since this is a daily driver I just want to get rid of some gap).

Any issues I should worry about? I want to make them fit correctly/look good. Thoughts or suggestions are appreciated.

I'm still debating on black or gunmetal on a SW xB2.

Another group of factory wheels to start hunting for are Volkswagen and Audi shoes. The MKIV GTI's and Jettas, as well as some of the early turn of the century audi's like the TT, all have a 5x100 bolt pattern.

You'd have to run an adaptor. tC bolt pattern is 5x100. This would also lower the effective offset depending on the size of the adaptor. Hella Flush status.

tC stock rims are 7.5" with 215/40 tires for reference. 165s should be a load of stretch. Do those rims have a good shoulder on the lip to get a good bite?

MONKEY_CHEESE
09-20-2010, 12:02 AM
And stock tires on xBs are 185/65. A 165 won't be that much. Considering I'm running a 205/45 on a 9.5 wide wheel. When a 205 is technically rated for about a 7.5

The only bad things about running that set up is your speedo will be way off, saying your going faster then you really are, and you odometer will say your tacking on more miles and lastly, with 14's and smaller tires, your wheel wells are going to look reslly big compared to your wheels/tires

Tonkatoy02

I test fitted a 165/65/14 on the wheel and threw it on the car before i start the repair and refinish on the rims, and it was little stretch, but i like the style it looks different. I think ima mount the rest of the tires on the rims and see what it looks like with all four on it. Ill post up pics on Friday.

I Like the way that they look and the offset could be a little wider, but once there red I think it will look much better. I was also thinking of taking my stock springs and cutting a couple of rings off for a lower drop than my trd's just to use with this wheel combination. It changes the whole look of the car IMO.
