Advise For Engine Cover Makeover

so i want to shave the toyota emblem and the VVT-I off of the engine cover. but i want to fill the holes back up so when i paint it the cover will be smooth and have no traces of the emblems left. im looking for advise on what type of media do i use to filler a plastic part. in past i have had nothing but bad luck trying to use body fillers on plastic. just doesnt adhere to plastic well and ends up cracking or flakeing off.
