I have a freind who is about to do the trd S/C to his 08 rs tc and wants to also install a header.My question is,are there any headers do NOT fit w the S/C????

Megan headers don't fit. they rub up against the S/C housing.

rock on!thanks He got the tsudo header,on the website it says its compatible w the s/c.

omg the tsudo header sucks go weapon-r have him dyno with stock header fisrt to see how much he gets from tsudo if its less then 16 he needs to trash it

the weapon r header isnt even gonna dyno 16 whp. no header will. keep the tsudo its fine.

arent the weapon-R and the tsudo header the same exact design???


just make sure he puts the header on first, once you get the supercharger on, you wont be able to get to the header bolts very easily/or at all.

yea this is true. i mean the weapon r might have a lil better welds and my have cleaner piping inside but i doubt it. they are exactly the same. and yes make sure the header is on first if your gonna use it with the s/c. once its on the s/c must come off to take the header off.

Well,we got the tsudo header on and i would not recommend that to anyone personnaly.We wrapped the header and the header wrap touches the block near the bell housing,we had to bend one of the trans cooler lines a smidge to clear so the header wouldnt touch it and we needed to remove the radiator just to get the damn thing in!It was a pain in the butt!!!!:weight: If the header would end at the collector just a couple inches sooner then it would go in no problem.Also,its prbly a little diff on a manual,but why does it need so sweep so far towards the trans side??If it was more centered,it would b alot to work w also.Ill try to get pics up.

Yes it is an auto.Me and my freind(not the owner of this car)work at a toyota/scion dealer and were able to borrow the scan tool to reflash the ecu.

See how close the clearances are!?!? Im gad we wrapped it,otherwise the heat from the haeder might have some bad affects on the trans cooler line and fluid temps.

nice very nice. wish i had the s/c. im going to have to get rid of my megan header and get another type of header when i get the s/c. probably not going to get the tsudo though. either the dc header or the strup or something.

Well Well...... Im the other friend installer! What do you all think about that s/c. We did a s-pipe & injen axle back too. Loud as hell!

yea. u should add an aero25 resonator between the 2nd cat and the factory resonator on the factory midpipe. its what i did and when i had my tsudo header it quieted it down nicely and sounded good with no rasp.

Well i have the strup header on my box and i like it.

Cool man, I can't recommend it to anyone cause I'll get in trouble but I'm all for people getting the most out of their cars! You feel a big difference after the header install with the S/C or did you do them at the same time?

yea its the aero25 resonator and u can get it from http://aeroexhaust.com/import_resonator_ar25.html but they are currently out of stock. get it welded in between the factory 2nd cat and the factory resonator and with the tsudo header or the weapon r header u will have no rasp. other headers u will have a lil rasp till the pipes warm up after about 5 min of driving then u have no rasp with the 4-1's. havent dynoed my car if u were asking me, either.

We did them at the same time. Im not to impressed with the hole outcome. $4,500 for 60 or so hp. It pulls harder now & its ok off the line but.......Not for me!!! We are going to put on a short ram air on it this week, we will see how that will do. I say TURBO!!!!

I was gonna say - good that you wrapped it. The heat from the header will start to wear down on the SC Shaft.

We'll try to get a sound cilp,but the tc is also very raspy too.Its got the tsudo header/s-pipe and injen axleback exhast.Im personally not a fan of the rasp,but hey....thats only my opinion.The owner likes it and thats all that matters.Its also a hadicap car,with the hand operated throttle and brake.When we orginally test drove the car,me and redbob werent too impressed.Then we figured out why,when the throttle would go past apx 3/4 the brake pedal would start to depress.The handle was out of adjustment.We didnt want to mess with it since we did not install it and we didnt want to screw anything up.Especially since that his only way of going or stopping!

Im not sure if there are many resonators out there that will take care of that much rasp,stock two resonators are still in place.My xb also has a little bit of rasp too,above 4500rpm.Strup header and strup exhaust and stock resonator/scuba tank!lol

yea well im pretty sure that the tc stock has one decent size resonator and two cats. once you take off the stock manifold you have one cat and one resonator all in the midpipe. like i was talking about i added an aero25 between the cat and the resonator on the midpipe and with the tsudo header and s pipe there is no rasp what so ever check out my vid. ive gotten many compliments on it. and for a header back exhaust it sounded awesome. im running a different setup now but this old setup sounded good.
