Scikotic Headrest Finally Done!!!

Okay, for those of you who don't know me, I'm Shaun Miller @Large chapter out of NW Oklahoma. I have a custom metal work business that I run. (along w/ a day job and college, but busy keeps me out of trouble). I make the custom scikotic show signs that a lot of people have that use at shows (check NorCal, they are deep and representing). Anyway, I have gotten a lot of requests to do some headrest standouts like the old school lowriders, and I finally got the kinks worked out and I got this one done last night. I still have to sandblast and paint it (I'll do that tonight) but it is done. If any of you are interested in one (and I know there are a few, people have been pming me for months asking for them) just let me know. I am thinking a fair price is 40.00 shipped, and I can even throw your chapter name on it. I can also do anything custom, just ask and I'll do my best to hook it up... Sorry for the shitty pic, I'll take a better one when it is 100% finished...

I'd have to put kind of a box around the border like a 1/2 inch deep that you could backlight inside of...

They are 14" wide so there is plenty of room for the cathodes. How were you thinking of attatching them? If we collaborate a little I know I we can make it look good.

Allright, sickos, check this out, I just shot my first powder coat, with chrome powder. I can now officially offer my services on powder coating, and these headrests are going to be sick like this. Man, I can see myself in this shit. Turned out better than I ever thought it would. I did this piece as a quicky tonight so I could have something to shoot powder on, and it shows the imperfections from my haste. I'm more than likely shooting powder on Jon's, and I'll post pics of that when I get it done. Thanks for all the support...

Turnaround is about 7-10 days. If you don't want the chapter, I could do 45. Also, I have gloss black, mirror black, texture black, and flat black, If you wanted the gray, it could take me a couple of days to order it and get it shipped to me so I could shoot...

I have no gripes about it...But one revision if you do make anymore like this. The bar that holds the CC, it needs to be a little further out, because the light doesnt shine as good as i want it to, but good enough. And maybe something to counter the slope of the seat, since it slops back so does the metal art. oh Shawn the other one, the last S had broke off, so i will fix it and put it somewhere under the hood. I'll take some day pics when i go to lunch.

I forgot yours was going to be facing toward the rear of the car...to get the angle right someone with a metal bender could bend the round stock that goes into the headrest holes, right under the light tray, about 30 degrees. (You could even do it with a bench vice if you were brave and used some cloth to keep the chrome from marring, you would have to put both "legs" into the vice then bend right above the tray w/ your hands and check it until you got it right) I wish I wasn't so far away so I could make revisions....

Just an idea to throw out there, how do you think a custom hood strut/bar would look? have that peice of metal and somehow in the middle affix screen names or club names, etc... could be a nice item of interest ;)

These still being made? i realize it was an old post bumped but im interested i missed this when they were in production. Id love to have one with hollow posts and just a small pedastals coming off the posts for some of http://www.oznium.com/high-intensity-led-floodlight sort of angled so the light will shine correctly. I could have those sent to you so you could figure it out.

what im thinking is hollow posts with pedastals coming off to hold them angled so they hit the whole sign and the posts holding the pedastal could be kind of u shaped except curved over so wires would be all but hidden and run down the inside of the seat to the floor. Any idea if this could be done or improvements on my idea?
