I believe that is for your ipod connection.

yeah it is an auxilary input for the factory stereo. You can plug in anything you can adapt down to a 2.5mm plug.

The '06 has an Ipod connection and an aux jack. I use my "other" Mp3 player in the aux jack, or my Sirius sat receiver plugged in it when the 88.1 station doesn't work .
