Please don't take this the wrong way, but if you asked that question, you have no clue regarding what you are doing and therefore should not attempt something as complicated as a custom enclosure.

Your R & D efforts will discourage you and you will end up spending more money than paying someone to make one for you .. And yes, others will know it was your first attempt, so practice if you like, but save yourself some frustration and embarassment.

umm..... there is really only one kind of fiberglass.

its either mat or cloth. my guess is i wouldn't be doing it if you don't know the difference

Lighter cloth = easier to get in curves.

And technically, as long as you just stick to it.......your first glass job can look great :)
