(sorry this is a long intro! haha)
Hey all! Went to Hot Import Nights in Orlando July 17th, and upon leaving there was a flyer on my window from Scikotics about the Sibling Rivalry event. So being an owner of my first TC I decided to join your forums! I know forums are just about the best place to learn about cars and DIY and whatnot. My bf owns a Talon TSI AWD and goes to a 4G63 forum all the time...he's learned all there is to know about DSMs from there. I figured I'd get to know all about Scions from here!
I am more knowledgeable about cars than 'most' girls are...I help the bf work on his car all the time,haha. I try to fix my own car problems if I can, so far I can change spark plugs and do my own oil changes,haha, and other minor things, I don't mind getting my hands dirty :)
I have already hit a problem with my TC...nothing major,but my clock and HVAC console lights do not work properly. The clock light is on when my headlights are off, but then the clock light shuts off when my headlights are on. The AC temp control knob light also doesn't work, and just flickers occasionally. But I read that this is kind of a common problem and could be just a faulty connection. Anyone know how to fix this themselves? I tried, but I'll probably take it to the dealer to fix it for free. Just wanted to see if this could be a quick DIY fix.
Anyway I have an '07 Flint Mica TC I just got a few weeks ago and I love it! It's only an automatic (never had a chance to learn manual just yet) , but TCs have quite a perky engine! I am impressed from just a 161 HP car! I plan on raising that HP though sometime in the future! ;)
